Description: K'NYAY has recently relocated to The Terrace on 95 (October 2013).The Terrace is a traditional Khmer wooden house, converted into a small stylish and character filled guesthouse in Phnom Penh. Built in the 1930s, The Terrace elegantly combines elements of traditional Cambodian wooden homes and French colonial art deco styling.

“Overrated restaurant.”
Reviewed 20 February 2013

We had dinner in this restaurant two weeks ago when we stayed at a nearby hotel. We choose this restaurant because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor. The restaurant offers a nice colonial atmosphere but the food is nothing special. The fresh and fried spring rolls we chose for starter were very basic. The curry’s were fine but we missed the beef in one of the curry’s. We know they are a vegetarian restaurant but they also have some non vegetarian options on there menu. We chose one potato, pumpkin and coconut curry and one green curry with beef. Unfortunately we only found two small pieces of beef in the last one. So we think this restaurant is overrated and overpriced (we paid a total of 20US$ for this meal and two cokes) for what it has to offer.

“Excellent quality food, reasonable prices, good service”
Reviewed 11 February 2013

My wife is a vegetarian and we have been looking for good places that both of us would like. This place hit the spot and is the first place in Phnom Penh we both want to go back to.

I had the tasty green curry with pork and my wife had a lovely banana curry--that I also wanted myself after tasting it! The portions were small for too-big American standards, but actually just right in retrospect. The prices were reasonable and we've had a lot worse food at more expensive places in Phnom Penh (like FCC!) so we'll be back to visit here, and you should too!

This restaurant had very nice and attentive servers--which is not something we can say for many other restaurants we've visited in Phnom Penh.

We were delighted to be joined by the restaurant's kitty nearby our table as well.

“Favourite Restaurant in PP”
Reviewed 4 February 2013

Best place to sample Khmer food in a beautiful atmosphere. Just off of SIhanouk Blvd near independence monument, K'NYAY is a great place to get away from the traffic and noise of PP. Try their peanut stew and amok. It's the best in the city.

This was my absolute favourite restaurant in the whole of Cambodia. My friend and I are both vegetarian and we agreed that the meals we had here were probably some of the tastiest we've eaten in our lives. The coconut cream? they use for the Amok is squeezed fresh from the flesh at the restaurant and oh my, I can't even think about it any longer that's how delicious it was. Not hard to find if you know where you're going and the people working there are really nice too.
