This is a nice small boutique hotel in a good location although not too close to the Royal Palace like some other more expensive hotels. The hotel is very clean with a nice swimming pool and great day beds to relax by the pool. It has a very good wifi connection throughout the hotel and the owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend staying here particularly for the price - an excellent value.

Just stayed here last week and it was a fantastic way to end our trip! Had the triple room that was huge with a balcony overlooking the pool, the shower was the best I'd had in Asia. The pool and seating area was colorful and modern, the service was top notch, they had great wine selection and food too. We had to force ourselves to eat outside the hotel it was so nice and convenient.

Special shout out to the front desk woman Sophea who was so quick at responding to my reservation emails and helping us with our visit!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during the Khmer New Year. A lot of places were closed and there wasn't much to do so we ate most of our meals in the hotel. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, some of the best we have eaten in Cambodia and the prices were very affordable. We especially loved this set menu that feeds two people. It had like five different choices and we were blown away by the amazing taste. My husband also fell lin love with this pasta with curry sauce or something. The breakfast was free and delicious. We stuck to the continental breakfast which included a piece of toast, a baguette, an egg, some bacon, coffee and juice. It was more than enough to fill us up for the morning.

The rooms were large and well laid out. The color scheme and fabrics used were so cute, I loved it! I read some reviews before I got to this hotel about the pool being small. I don't know what these people were talking about. I saw a family with four adults all in the pool swimming laps early one morning meaning the pool is pretty good sized!

I also loved that the hotel had a list of tuk tuk prices in the lobby. Such a big help when you are new to the area.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We would definitely return!

Room Tip: We stayed in a room on the first floor, right beside the hotel lobby and steps away from the pool an...

Dear Ashlee,
Thank you for your nice review here on TripAdvisor. It was a great pleasure to have you here with us and we are happy that you and your husband fully enjoyed your stay. The penne 252 with curry and shrimps are indeed a runner... and we have passed your compliments to our chef and her team.
It is true that during Khmer New Year Phnom Penh changes from the bustling city to a sleepy and quiet town with no traffic and most of the shops closed - a very unique experience.
We hope to see you again next time you are in Phnom Penh.
Best regards,
Stéphane

Very nice Villa with nice service and friendly staff. We had a triple room with nice size, good bathroom and a balcony, no elevator and we stayed on the 1st floor but no problem at all. Very good breakfast and restaurant, in a walking distance to Major attractions in the city.

Phnom Penh is a great city to visit, easy to get around, even on foot (depending on your definition of easy). It is a lot of fun, with great restaurants (more on that in a tic) but its loud and grimy and very busy. Its therefore great to have a hotel like 'The 252' to come back to each afternoon. This hotel is an absolute oasis for really quite a modest price. There is a large pool with individual cubicles with cushions and table along one side (never all used when we were there) and a great on-site restaurant and bar. Breakfast is free and very generous. Only ate here once or twice (we stayed a week in total) but the food was excellent.
The standout of the hotel though are the staff, without exception they were friendly and helpful, from the French owners to the guy on the gate and the cleaners.
The rooms are polished concrete throughout which could seem cold but the colour touches in the room made it not so. We were on budget holiday, normally trying to pay no more than $30 a night so this hotel was a treat, but all things considered the price of $65 a night was good value.
Certainly one of the best places we've ever stayed. Only small downside was that couldnt pick up wifi from the lounge chair side of the pool,

Oh and the owners also have a separate restuarant called La Tabla a couple of streets away. Oh boy, really good food.

Room Tip: Our room on the 2nd floor seemed to have better wifi than the one on the 1st floor (we stayed there...

We booked one day in advance the room. What a lovely retreat in central phnom penh. If you enter the gate it is an oasis of peace and quietness. The pool is excellent, plounge several times after a busy day in the city. (Visit killing fields and tuol sleng)
The rooms are very spacious and modern. Concrete material and nice colors, i loved it. Everything is clean and works well. Nice was the entrance door. The first time i could left my stuf with a peacefull mind in the room. The door is as heavy as the door of a banksafe with lockings on al sides.
The personel is very very helpfull with everything.
The breakfast was reliable with good choice. The location is pretty central, and by tuk tuk everything is easy to reach.

This is up there with the best experiences I've ever had at a hotel! Where to start!! The staff and owners are so nice and helpful. We stayed here for 5 nights in total (3 nights the first visit then 1 night two other times) This was spaced over 3 weeks. On two occasions I left items behind but they held onto them for me as they knew I was coming back!! Great service!

The food was great too. I ate here a few times.

It was such a nice pool to chill out by. We felt guilty some days as we didn't want to leave the pool!!

The rooms were lovely. We stayed in 3 different rooms and they were all as nice as each other. The showers were really powerful :)

I really recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Phnom Penh. If I am ever back I will 100% be staying here.

Room Tip: They seem to be all good rooms!!
