“Stunning Sunset Cruise!”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

The wooden boats are delightful, with comfortable seating. Everyone gets a great view of the river. This trip was booked through the hotel and cost $15. We felt this was very reasonable as it included the tuk tuk ride from the hotel, a drink, nibbles, a 90 minute cruise and a lovely sunset.
Our guide was very sweet, smiled a lot and with concentration we managed to understand most of what she said.
The cruise took us past huge dredging barges, a fishing village and busy ferries as we headed towards the floating bungalow where we stop to watch the sun go down.
There are signs at Sisowath Quay offering cruises from $5 but I don"t think they would be as good.
This was the highlight of Phnom Penh for me.

“Thoroughly enjoyed the sunset cruise”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

Unsure really if we paid more than others on the same cruise but in reality we thought at the time it was great value for what we received.
The night was stunning and we were happy to find only a group of 4 with another 2 girls from a local accommodation house.
We totally relaxed on the back cushioned lounge area and enjoyed the beautiful light in order to take some great photos.
We sailed out to a secluded bar area and watched the exquisite sunset from very comfy deck chairs from a lovely floating bar
Mam was our host for the night and even though we found her a little high pitched and difficult to understand, she was a real sweetie and full of happiness and a joy for life which was contagious.
We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and you really must get out on the water to fully appreciate the wonderful city of Phnom Penh

“Sunset on the river ...”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

A very pleasant way to spend an hour or so before dinner - and a great way to end a day and lift the mood if you've been visiting some of the sites connected with the Khmer Rouge.

The Butterfly is a very attractive boat with comfortable seats including a raised, cushioned area at the stern which is a good point from where to take photos. As the boat's relatively small, it doesn't feel overcrowded.

There are good views of the other river traffic - ferries, cruise boats, barges laden with silt - but the most enjoyable part, I felt, was cruising along the far bank of the Mekong where there are floating houses, fishing boats, kids showing off and jumping into the river, and so on. The late afternoon light bathes everything in a golden glow, and it's possible to get some nice shots of the sunset over Phnom Penh on the return journey.

We enjoyed it very much - a good memory from our last night in Phnom Penh.

Booked through our hotel and the tuk tuk pick up was included in the $15 price each.Included a drink, wine beer or soft drink and extra beers are $2 each. Guide was friendly and explained all but her English was not the best, but full marks for trying.
The tour does not include the tuk tuk back to the hotel but it's only about $3 anywhere anyhow.
There were only 3 couples on our tour so it was lovely and comfortable. Boat has a clean toilet and compared to the other companies' huge boats was very personal.
Peanuts included!

“Lovely way to see sunset”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

We booked the sunset trip through out our hotel it was $15 for a one hour cruise with a drink (wine or beer) and pick up from hotel. The boat was lovely and the guides very knowledgable. Unfortunately we found it a little hard to understand the woman so I moved closer and this seemed to help, plus she was happy to answer questions. It was interesting to see the floating village and overall good way see sunset on the river.
