This was a very short notice trip and my first to Cambodia. I travel over 300 days a year and spend all my time in hotels. The Lotus Luxury Villa is now at the top of my list. It feels like home. The Lotus is in excellent shape and maintained daily. The pool was cleaning and refreshing. My room was large, clean and air conditioned. Everything about the property is perfect but what puts The Lotus at the top of the list is the service and attention to details. The staff is more family than employees. The downside? I only stayed 5 nights. I plan to return the next time on holiday. They have a new addition to the family. He is a very cute small puppy so bring him a treat when you visit and take him for a walk.

We booked the mini suite which was enormous with a lounge setting at one end. The bathroom was bigger than most rooms with an enclosed electronically controlled spa / shower. The garden pool was great and we could even take a swim between courses as the restaurant was by the pool. We were fortunate to have the place to ourselves so it was like our own home with staff. The villa was only a short trip from the bus terminal on a tuk tuk. The only slight downside was the bed was slightly firm.

Sam and his staff ensure that your stay is relaxed and enjoyable in this very elegant hotel. In a quiet street, within a prestigious area of Phnom Penh, near the Independence Statue. Easy access to the main routes into the city centre and markets or the popular riverside area. In easy walking distance of many restaurants, in a safe area, - as well as silk and craft shops. Amazingly fast free wi-fi, good choice of breakfasts, of ample quantity, accompanied by varied fresh fruits. Good menu for lunch or evening dining. Clean, cool pool with jacuzzi. Sun loungers and bathing towels available.

We will definitely stay at this hotel again, it's in a prime position, very quiet, giving a good quiet night's sleep and the staff are very friendly and helpful

Room Tip: All rooms are of high quality, some larger for bigger groups.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December after visiting Siem Reap. We hadn't planned where to stay in Phnom Penh until we arrived and sat in an internet cafe looking for somewhere to book. This was a little more than we had wanted to spend I think it was about $60 per night. We received a lovely welcome drink and service when we arrived (only about half an hour after booking!) and the villa has a good location near embassies in a quieter part of town but easy to get around by tuk tuk to any of the sites/markets etc. The villa is beautiful, with a huge ornate staircase and marble flooring. The rooms are spacious and newly renovated, with Tv's, lovely bathrooms, large storage, a safe, air -con, and very quiet. we had a superior room (this is the standard type) and it was lovely.
Unfortunately, not the fault of the hotel but the water stopped working when we arrived, the local authority did work on the system without warning. We had just done the bus journey from Siem Reap so were keen for a shower. Without a suggestion or roll of the eye, the lady on reception and another staff member brought us up warm buckets of water to bathe in. it was very kind. The water was fine the next morning and the owner had bought a new pump and installed it to ensure the pressure was good. The wifi was perfect, the best we had experienced in Cambodia. The room service food we ordered the first night was ok. The soup wasnt really warm enough, the spring rolls were good but overall it was a bit overpriced but after the journey and the water thing we couldnt be bothered to go out. There was a bit of a misunderstanding the next day as we didnt realise we should have left our key at reception when we went out for the day. this had then meant our room hadt been cleaned because apparently they didnt have another key?! So the dirty plates etc were still in there. Anyway, not a big deal at all, we called down and they came straight to collect them. The plug in the sink got stuck and wouldnt open and drain so we moved to the room next door which was perfect. All of this was done with smiles and helpful staff. The breakfasts and service were very good, we enjoyed the pancakes a lot! The owner himself came to meet us the morning after the water issue to explain and apologise which was much appreciated. he also took 15% off that night room rate and gave me a little scarf when we checked out. Very kind sentiments and interest in his guests.
We would recommend this place. I often think the mark of a good place is how it handles problems which arise (which can and do happen anywhere), these were dealt with quickly, efficiently and with smiles and care.

Room Tip: We stayed in 2 of the superior rooms (the standard room type) which were great so with only 6 rooms...

This very small hotel is a standout in the growing number of boutique hotels in Phnom Penh, we have been regulars to the city over the past ten years and at first stayed in the large western run hotels but in recent years have tried various 'boutique' and have learned to be wary as being 'boutique' is often an excuse for what is not provided.
The hotel is a stand out, it has all the comforts of home and service many would aspire to provide. We booked the only suite, the junior suite is one large room with an enormous bathroom attached. It has everything you would expect in a traditional modern Cambodian style, yes there is such a thing and you would have to spend time in the country to understand it, but it is slightly kitch in a delightful kind of way. If I could find any fault with the room it would maybe be the over supply of wardrobes and the lack of a proper desk. The bathroom is excellent and all spotless.
It's the personalised service that makes this such a standout, nothing is too much trouble and all done without any fuss, you are made to feel like an honoured guest. It has a great little pool which is an essential in PP and with I think only 6 rooms so it is never crowded. Its in a very quiet and safe area of town, but only a two dollar ride to all the main sights and riverfront.
Good food from the small onsite restaurant and excellent wifi connection as well. The owner and all his staff provide a really wonderful stay.

Room Tip: The junioe suite is great - but all the rooms look spacious

I was on business in Phnom Penh earlier this month and came across this new Boutique Hotel in Street 334 close to Noridom end. I chose the junior suite (company account) which I would class as outstanding to say the least. Comfortable bed, lounge area, exceptional bathroom, wifi, 2 TV’s so one didn’t have to twist their head watching from lounge or bed and mini bar. All the comforts you would expect from a International Hotel. The restaurant is open from 7am until last order 10pm more than adequate dining times. The menu was complete with both Khmer and Western foods. The wines were reasonably priced and a well stocked bar. The outside area is charming and relaxing with a swimming pool which incorporates a spa. The staff were friendly and very efficient.
