“Great accomodations”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

Close to the river and attractions this Hotel in my mind is a hidden gem to say the least. The staff are outstanding the housekeeping is immaculate and the buffet breakfast is all you could ask for while you can enjoy it by the pool, this is truly a Boutique Hotel for Cambodia. The rooftop offers a plunge pool to cool off and grab a few rays of sunshine which also has a bar to order drinks from, and a great view of the city.

The hotel was close to the Mekong bus station so it was easy for us to get to. It was easy to check in and our 4th floor room faced the front of the hotel. It was really nice! The key system was pretty cool and hi-tech! I also really liked the room lighting. There was this blue ceiling light that you could leave on while you slept and it was just so calming! The room was a little on the small side, but it didn't bother us since it was more of a home for our suitcases. We also had a balcony to walk out on. Breakfast at the hotel was also really good and there were many options to choose from. The pool was so tiny that it wasn't even worth getting into! It was also interesting that you could access your room from the stairs that are on the outside of the building leading down to the pool or from the elevator inside the lobby. The people at the concierge desk helped us to plan our transportation to the genocide museum and the killing fields AND they helped us to get a free shuttle back to the Mekong bus terminal for our departing trip. They were so patient and helpful.

If you're hungry, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the riverside which is lined with all sorts of food establishments. You can get Asian food, Western food, European food, etc and it's all at decent prices! Overall, King Grand was a great place to stay in Phnom Penh!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front of the hotel have a balcony and they are quiet!

Stayed here for 2 nights. We booked the deluxe double room.
The check in process was quick. We got a welcome drink upon arrival. The staffs were nice and helpful.
The room was quite big. The amenities were good and to my delight, they provided hair dryer. Got wifi in our room.
They have a modern security for room key.
The hotel was within walking distance from Royal Palace and National Museum.
It was nice to have breakfast next to the swimming pool. The breakfast was good too. The seafood noodle soup was delicious.
They also had roof top pool. Got a nice view of Phnom Penh up there.
Overall, it’s a nice place to stay in Phnom Penh

Good breakfast bar, I'm a fan of noodles. They serve pretty good noodles. I ate two bowls every day. WIFI worked great! They have a lovely small swimming pool. Staffs are friendly. Tuk Tuk drivers are always outside standing by so it was easy to get from places to places.

A nice, clean hotel walking distance to the palace and the the river. The staff was very kind and helpful. When it rained it was nice to sit next to the swimming pool and read. The only drawback was the the small size of the rooms and the complicated door lock mechanism.

Room: Very large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and shower was huge with great water pressure. Aircon great.

Swimming pool: Small but very nice for a dip (clean).

Hotel: A little difficult to find, location was good but the street the hotel is on is a little dark and uninviting, however we had no problems.

Staff: Friendly, good English.

Breakfast: Adequate, but limited seating.

Overall: Good price, clean, relaxing but location could be better.

This was my first encounter with PP some time ago. I returned in this hotel four times and I was always happy with my stays. Still, prices have risen up and

Check in/out is hassle free and front desk personnel are quite friendly and efficient. Deluxe rooms are quite spacey (I got one twice with a queen + one single bed). They are clean and well designed. The shower is particularly enjoyable. Airco works perfectly. Swimming pool is probably an added value, but I have never tried it.

The choice for breakfast is very good (eggs are cooked to your order) and coffee is good (which is almost never the case in Cambodia). The only minus point is that if you are not sleeping in a room above the reception building, you always have to walk (up or down) half a stair).

Location is fine, although not very tuktuk drivers know the place (just tell them OK guesthouse and they will drop you in the street).

All in all, a fine experience. Recommended although prices have risen substantially.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the reception building.
