Stayed at number 9 a few times over the past 2 years and the quality has slowly gone down hill. Also the availability of the single rooms seems like a price puller as they never seem available when you inquire !!, but overall still a decent hotel at a decent price.. And you feel that you and your belongings are safe when stay here .
Good food but a little over priced

This hotel is not top notch but you shouldn't expect it to be for the price really. It is great value for money and doesn't look bad either. The staff are pretty friendly and overall I enjoyed my stay there and if I could I would rate this hotel somewhere between average and very good (probably good). The location was great and I had no problem getting to places from there at all. The food and drinks were reasonably priced but again quality wasn't great.
It is the rooms that let this place down as they are very basic and mine was a little stuffy. T

I've stayed here now twice, once back in 2012 a few months after it opened and then recently. The building is in a decent location, fairly close to the river and Kings Palace grounds. The area isn't particularly loud and has a number of places to stay and eat on this side street.

The hotel room we stayed in was moldy in the bathroom, mostly at head level and above, although the tile near the train was a bit black. Our took smelled a little damp each time when we first entered it but that went away once the zircon was on and dried the air out a bit. The shower is in the bathroom so be aware of that and prepared for it.

The hotel has a pool, nice bar down stairs and decent food. The price is quite decent for what you get. I should say though, that I stayed here 3 nights, went to Siem Reap, came back for one night and decided to stay across the street at one of the "Grand" hotels..not here at the Number 9.

They need to take some time and clean each room with a sting bleach and mildew cleaner, paint a bit, fix anything that may be broken in the room and they will be better.

I really enjoyed staying here. Great rooms, albeit a little small but it's very adequate.

Warmly greeted on arrival & escorted to my room which was nice after a long journey (it's a decent stair-climb to the room).

Good bathroom, excellent shower, comfy beds, good location (just off riverside) & booming aircon!

There's a pool on the roof top also if you're into lounging about.. Not luxurious but clean & quiet.

For the price it's a winner!

After my BF had stayed in the hotel two years ago just after it had opened he wanted to go back there (assuming that it was still fabulous).
Yep, the price is fantastic, so is the interior design of the lobby and the second and third floor decks where you can relax in lounge chairs, beach chairs or the jacuzzi. However, the rooms have not been looked after very well since the opening. Our bathroom had mold all over the place, the door required some muscle strength to lock and unlock it and there were cracks and abrasions all over the walls.
Service and the food they serve is very nice though. The location is great as well, near the riverfront and close to lots of restaurants and bars.

Given the state of the hotel we would not go back.

This hotel is great and we stayed for 2 weeks. On arrival our room was small with no fridge and we asked reception about moving. The next morning they moved us to a bigger room and also gave us a fridge. We were so well looked after, everything we asked was done and the staff are awesome. The whole hotel is spotless!
Thanks Lia and your amazing staff for everything you did for us

Not that cheap but their private room is awesome. With cable tv, nice bathroom, comfy beds, good ac, etc. Perfect place to stay after a busy stroll in the city. Friendly staff and nice bar with lounge.
