“Good price, great location”
Reviewed 3 June 2013

If you want a good experience at this hotel, make sure to arrive before 3pm and talk with the young female receptionist. Her english is very good and she's fair and always smiling. If you have any issues with the staff later in the evening, talk with her in the morning and she'll fix you up.

Haggle the price based on the number of days you will stay and definitely look at the rooms first as they vary widely in terms of smell and state of disrepair (a/c sometimes does not work). The rooms at the back are better for light sleepers as there is a loud disco out front booming crappy tunes till 4am.

The location is great. No need to say more here.

Room Tip: Haggle. Try the A/C before you get the room.

With all the good guesthouses full and a torrential downpour outside, we ended up here. After three months of travel, it didn't seem too bad for $15.

Within 30 minutes of check in, there was an electric fire and the entire place lost electricity. My husband was nervous about staying but they assured him everything was fixed.

The next day, after yet another storm, we returned to our room, which now had a completely leaking ceiling and was half covered in water. Thank god our valuables weren't on the floor!

Even if it wasn't for that, the pillows are crap and the sheets seem old. The housekeeping staff, on the other hand, was kind and helpful. It's too bad that the hotel will soon fall, which means they'll be out of a job.

Unhelpful money grabbing staff! First room we looked at was spacious but VERY loud with music and noise from the street. Second room was small but adequate but STANK ... and i mean really stank... of smoke. It was unbearable.
Much nicer places to stay, shop around online before you arrive as Phnom Penh can be a tricky one.

I was a customer of this hotel for now 3 years. Good feeling and correct prices. But... But now, the same owner open another luxurious hotel - in fact, it's a fake with unfinished rooms, but the entrance is beautifull... - and everything collapse in this hotel. No more smiles, coffee for 2$ ( it was 1$ and it was still expensive for the place ), rooms not cleaned anymore...
Sadly, it WAS a very good hotel...

Lovely staff who couldn'd do enough for us. Rooms very spacious and clean, with aircon. Only stayed 2 nights so don't know if rooms cleaned daily, but we had clean towels each day. Lovely big balcony. Would recommend this hotel as it wasn't expensive.

Wandered in there when other places were full and only stayed because everywhere else was full or too expensive... my advice is keep looking - anywhere else is better than this.

Rooms in terrible condition with walls dirty and moldy ceilings. Bed linen stained and dirty along with towels. First room the shower wasn't working nor the airconditioning fan.

The guy showing us the rooms was really creepy and i overheard him offering girls to other guests. Spent the night trying to block out sounds of screaming women and negotiating couples discussing, i'm guessing, prostitution rates on top of techno music.

Worst night of my travels so far after a month. Even at 15 dollars, totally not worth it. there are safer places in better neighborhoods. A friend was with me and took a room as well which is the only reason that i didn't run away from this place.

Room Tip: Don't go here... no room is worth it

After arriving in Phnom Penh by bus at around 6.00pm we went around a few different places by tuktuk to try and find accommodation just for one night, we finally got bored of looking and ended up staying here. It wasn't too bad, although the room was very small and decor could do with a freshen up. The place had air-con, cable TV (slightly scrambled signal). This hotel is also situated near what appeared to be the red light district. We found Phnom Penh in general to be overly expensive compared to other locations in Cambodia. Average.
