“AMAZING ATMOSPHERE”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

What a Gem. This is a Grand little boutique hotel only around 20 or so rooms so they do make you feel very special. We stayed in a deluxe room with separate bath and shower which we would highly recommend The people working here from the doormen, reception, restaurant, bar, to the cleaners are truly amazing. They're always there to greet you with a smile, ready to help you out or even just to have a chat. The hotel has a high standard of cleaning as it always looks so fresh and clean. This hotel is in a great location as it's walking distance to the supermarket, massages are just up the road, restaurants, bars, and even hairdressers (had a great shampoo and head massage and dragged my hubby in to have the same but he got a cut as well 13US dollars all up for both us). We also had Hand massages at the hotel for 3US dollars for 20minutes. We had breakfast every morning and lunch one day of the menu which was also very nice, Fruit drinks they make are great too!! No problem getting anywhere tuk-tuks are always at the front of the hotel. We picked this hotel up for a great rate including breakfast and it was a real pleasure staying here. Two special people that touched our hearts were Champia and Phattier (Sorry not sure of spelling now) but thankyou so much. Amazing people in an amazing place. We are so looking forward to coming back one day already and we've only been home a week.

Stayed 4 nights and were upgraded to a family suite. The room was huge and beautifully decorated. It was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The staff were extremely friendly and always greeted us with smiles and were up for a joke and a chat. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very good. The hotel is located in a great location with plenty of good reataurants and bars nearby. There is also a very good therapeutic massage business across the road which does a full body oil massage for 90 mins at a cost of US $16. The guys that are located out the front with the tuk tuks are so nice. Nothing is too much trouble and they are very reasonably priced. A ride to the markets is US $3. If your looking for a great place to stay in Phnom Penh this is it.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Next to the iconic Khmer Surin restaurant. Staff here are very well trained and hospitable.

Rooms were spacious, clean and cosy. Location is decent moving around and tuk-tuk transportation readily available. Breakfast is also included. Wifi is available.

Price is very reasonable and distance to airport is around 30-45 minutes.

Around the vicinity, convenience store and nice pastry shops aplenty. Recommended to all visiting Phnom Penh.

We've never been to PP before and didn't know what to expect. Things are very different here to any other place we've been to in Asia. To make things really confusing this hotel has a sister hotel which has the same name and is a few blocks away. To make it even more confusing their hotel card has 2 addresses on it which you don't realise until your on your way home and you don't know which one it is. Unfortunately we had the bacon for breakfast which was definitely off. We sat on the toilet for the next 2 days. I have been travelling through asia for 5 months and never had this problem. My husband and i both said at the same time that there was something wrong with the bacon and only ate half for breakfast. Next day we had the fruit. First day we had eggs that the whites were still runny and uneadible. The downstairs toilet which was shown to me by the hotel staff was shown to me in a very odd way. He walked in with me and i was quite surprised to see two urinals. I went into the toilet but staff were walking past while I was in there to the store room. Given that this is an upmarket hotel it all felt very Monty Python like. At night we could here noise of constant talking but when you went out of your room you couldn't hear it.
The staff were all lovely and accommodating The other problem was the swimming pool which is downstairs you would have to walk through the lobby to get to it and isn't very private.

We really enjoyed our stay, the reception staff were very helpful with making good recommendations of where to eat and things to see and made arrangements for us to take private tours. The hotel is very clean and fresh, the décor is nice with attention to detail. As it is a boutique hotel the rooms were not your typical hotel rooms which is nice, they are lovely and large with nice bathrooms. I was staying with my mother and we had the family room, which was very roomy for the two of us.
The reception and pool area is very small but it is a boutique hotel so it should be expected. The restaurant is small, well decorated, the chairs look great but are uncomfortable, the food is average.
It is a little ways from the Kings Palace and the strip of restaurants a long the water edge but there are always tuks out front and it does not cost much to go to the main area. Please be aware that there is a King Grand Hotel and on several occasions the tuk drivers would take us to the wrong hotel.
I would stay there again.

My mum and I stayed here for 2 nights (28th-30th of August) before going off to Siem Reap to see the temples.

This hotel offers a city tour so if you are on a tight schedule then you can see the city; e.g. the palace, national museum, russian market etc... all in one day. However, if you're on a budget then a tuk-tuk would be cheaper to be rented for a day, a lot of them are outside of the hotel which is so convenient! Always remember to practise your price bargining skills before your visit!

This hotel does give you everything you need, we arranged for airport pick up (12usd) a few days before arriving and the hotel got back to our request very quickly, and the driver was friendly.

We were also upgraded to a suite and there is a jacuzzi in the back garden, the jacuzzi was very nice after a hotel of going around Phnom Penh. I do recommend getting a suite if you're indecisive on the rooms you want to stay in!

The breakfast however would be the only thing that was on the average end, it was tasty but not the best compared to other hotels, but I understand this as the hotel is only small! Another thing about food is that there is an excellent restaurant next door called Khemer Surin, they do serve up some very traditional, local khemer/ thai dishes. ;)

The staff were also extremely helpful and helped us arrange our city tour as well as our bus ticket to Siem Reap (bus tickets as I know, range from 8-30 usd). This hotel is also good for us as we often prefer to stay a little further away from the city, most things you need is just a tuk-tuk away!

Thank you.

I have been to PP on many occasions but tried this hotel for the first time. The location (not on the waterfront) is really handy for access to markets, restaurants, supermarket and tourist services (massage, spa etc.). I was really impressed by the staff - nothing was too much trouble - helping with transport, buying a suitcase lock, weighing luggage etc. It had a great breakfast menu offering western and eastern dishes in a bright and airy dining room. The bedrooms are a good size but a little heavily furnished with dark furnishings and curtains that demand opening the windows to allow in as much natural light as possible. Other than this, the hotel is welcoming and relaxing to suit families, couples or those traveling alone.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the road at the front of the hotel are the pick of the place looking out over a relativ...
