Called in one night I was bored,,was actually raining and my hotel is not far away.
Mostly same staff, same old tables, same old plastic chairs, same most things
Except..there was a group on this night.
Martinis have a live group playing fri and sat.well that's what I was told by the staff
The group was awful, but not nearly as bad as the owners who took turns performing
The Chinese enjoyed themselves singing to the songs they knew, they tend to be a happy lot but
Really really loud ..
The Koreans don't seam to have much interest in the girls,, just drink a beer or two and mostly head of somewhere else.
The Japanese you know as they mostly walk about the place eyeing everything with the one bottle of water they purchased.
That's my general view of before and that one night on the Asian side
The European side was not much different
Mostly old expats,,guys on visa runs from Thailand
They also didn't seem to drink to much and were there to acquire a partner or kill abit of time
The staff speak good English most anyway
The food is not that bad
The girls are mostly Vietnam and a few khmer.
There is a big open space with seats and a big screen
A long bar at the back of the place which you go up a couple of steps to get too
Up here you find two pool tables as well
There is also a disco with the entrance beside the men's toilet
The woman's toilet is facing this one at the other end of the place.
There was a couple of young groups who came in while I was there .
They tended to ignore most people but they looked out of place
Young teachers or back packer types..
It seems to be a relic from a different era
Some of the moto drops and tuks outside have been working here for nearly twenty years

I think I was to harsh on the place last time
It has a sort of charm, but really needs revamped.
Come and see for yourself and make your own choice on what it's like
Opens around 8 or so and stays open till 2.30 normally
Longer if there is enough people watching the soccer
Hope this helps..

I have been to Martini's a few times and it's a great place to go.You have a choice of chatting to anyone, playing pool, watching the big screen, dancing or just sitting and watching, no-one pressures you to do anything. The food is very good also. If you get robbed well really it is your respnsibilty to take care...it will happen in ANY poor country. The bar staff speak English well and are terrific guys and girls. Last went July 2012.

Always liked to call here when I visited phnom penh,,,you would usually find a real mix of expats here and all races,,everyone gets on ok and can be good to meet people if your on your own,the service is very good and English is very well spoken,,large screen for movies and sports outside and a disco/club inside,,bathroom is ok and there's a guy there who turns on the tap and gives you a drying towel.the place serves food which seems ok cos the expats eat it..that was Before ,,I would have said this place is a good place to visit,,not now..there's working girls here,Vietnam and Khmer,,before... They came ,stood ,walked away,,now they are pushy,,sit and won't move,,a couple are downright angry when you don't look at them,,they argue with each other and even seen a fight break out with the Vietnam girls..the place is coming down with Chinese and Koreans who are very loud and also a few Russians who have made it here and were that drunk they had to be shown out after knocking over tables and pawing the waitresses.at the bar itself the bartender shouted at one waitress for over 20 minutes, was embarrassing to say the least,,it's went downhill in just a year,,if you like loud orientals and drunk Russians with a few fights and the staff at it,,this is your place..if not... Avoid... I will....

Beware! I just got ripped-off at Martini's when I ordered a drink. Gave the bartender a $20 and was given change for a $10. There is no manager on duty and no one there is interested in helping. Forget this place, I will never return.
