“Good food and charming service”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

The food is good. I tried the beef tenderloin with red wine sauce and béarnaise sauce with mash potatoes. The meat was excellent and correctly cooked with good seasoning. The mash potatoes were smooth and tasty. The molten chocolate cake is served warm with coffee ice cream. The quality of the chocolate is good, enough bitterness with a rich taste. The ice cream was little bit too hard. It will gain in being softer. The service is at the same level of the food. The ladies are very charming, well educated and speak an excellent English. The atmosphere is relaxing and the decoration is classy with comfortable furniture.

“Nice cocktails, but below average food.”
Reviewed 31 January 2014 via mobile

Pros :
- Nice selection of cocktails, lots of variety from the usual run-of-the-mill stuff everyone else has.
- No smoking permitted inside.
- Really comfy booths with big soft cushions.
- Good minimalist decor, wide aisles, lots of timber and glass.
- Good location.
- Staff speak good English.

Cons :
- Food selection is generally very poor value for phnom penh, in relation to the prices charged.
- Food in general tastes very very bland; even a bit more salt would make a big improvement.
- Service seems to be mixed, in that sometimes the staff are really attentive and everything is spit-on. But then ten minutes later when you want to make another order, everyone's standing behind the bar, and it takes ages to get one of them to come over.
- The night we were there, we could hear the staff gossipping about us (probably not realizing that we could understand them).
- The service is noticeably better on the way in than one the way out.
- Music was a bit too loud, and the selection rather unusual.

Overall:
A reasonable place to go for a few cocktails before bed. The food serves fine as nibblies to pair with the drinks, and we would consider returning for this, but the food is not of sufficient standard to make rahu a viable dinner option.

“Great food and vibe”
Reviewed 20 December 2013

Fantastic place to escape the noisy riverfront. Exceptional service and food. Although it feels like a pub, it remains family oriented. The add on, smoking is not permitted inside. Our meal and night were not spoiled by stinky nicotine.

“Great Cocktails and Food!”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

After a long day at work, Metro Rahu is always a good place to grab some cocktails and simply unwind. It is conveniently situation along the river side (Sisowath Quay Blvd). Interiors are posh, drinks and food are dirt cheap considering the quality they serve is above par. Plus, their staff are very friendly.

“Favorite 'special occasion' place in PP”
Reviewed 3 October 2013 via mobile

This is my husband's and my go-to spot for birthdays, anniversaries, or any other special occasion! We love love love Rahu. The staff here is one of the most professional staffs we have ever seen in Phnom Penh. The food is also wonderful! We always order several of the 'small bites' and share them. Our favorites are the tequila black pepper prawns, the lok lak roll, and the beef asparagus roll. But truly they're all fabulous. Our last visit to Rahu, we brought my mom who was visiting Cambodia for the first time. She said the steak, shrip, and scallops small plate was one of the best dishes she ate during her entire three-week stay. Don't forget to try the cocktails as they are reasonably priced, flavorful, and pack a punch! I can't wait for our next special occasion because we'll definitely end up at Rahu!
