“Hotel or Appartment?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2013

We had an apartment for the stay. It was not fully equipped with furniture but it has a complete kitchen and a washing machine - so of you like to wash your stuff or cook your own food - it is a very good place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful (Car to Siem Reap etc) Breakfast is good - it is from the neighbours Coffee shop. Everything is clean and rooms are with AC

Just spent 3 nights a this relatively new hotel
Situated in a quite tree lined street, but only a couple of hundred yards from the hustle and bustle of city life and pretty close to the main tourist area
The hotel itself has a nice feel to it , and all the staff are very friendly
Our room was of a good size and situated on the first floor, overlooking the road at the front of the hotel (lovely and sunny)
We never had a problem with noise from traffic
The room was bright and airy , the bed very comfortable, fridge, flat screen tv with good selection
Ample wardrobe / storage space and a nice shower area
Very quite air con
The swimming pool is nice but very shaded from the sun and few sunbeds
Breakfast was pretty good with a choice and freshly made for your selection

Bad points!
Very few!!
Shower head in our bathroom sprayed at a stupid angle literally spraying over your head into the opposite wall
Hot water seemed to go to just warm as the day progressed
House keeping a bit slip shod as had to ask for tea/coffee on two occasions!
Also balcony area very dusty

Generally teething problems at new hotel?
I would return in the future and recommend
To all

design and decor = simple but comfortable
staff = very helpful and very good service, especially Dara.(she can speak very good english)
room = spacious, clean and comfortable
breakfast = ala carte style, portion wise a bit small and not much variety. understandably with very few guests(i think) it does not make sense to create a buffet spread.

Room Tip: i tried the ground floor and it feels great.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel while visiting the city. It's a little off the beaten track, but not so far a cheap Tuk Tuk drive won't get you to tourist areas within minutes. Being a little out of the way gives it the peace and quiet you'll need after battling the bustling city streets! The staff are gorgeous, friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is an excellent pool to cool off in after the heat of the day. As long as you don't mend spending a little extra by Cambodian standards, this place is well worth it.

Was promised quiet room on upper floor of hotel. On arrival was assigned a noisy room on ground floor (construction going on next door). Staff didn't seem to care about my request but were more interested in filling rooms. No on-site manager is a problem and restaurant/coffee shop very basic. Rooms clean but look like any other 3 star western overnight stay hotel. Much better options in the 'boutique' hotel range in town and sadly this place which promised a lot based on reviews was disappointing.

The Skyline Boutique Hotel Phnom Penh is a new hotel with stylish decor throughout. Staff are friendly and professional. The hotel has a good swimming pool with guests also allowed to use the excellent roof top gym in the adjoining apartment building (fantastic views over Phnom Penh.

This was the most fantastic hotel we could have hoped for. The rooms all had a wonderful decor and felt just like home. The hotels staff were of great assistance and were very friendly and approachable. There is a small, cozy cafe in the hotel called "Cafe Republic" that provided a fantastic service and where we thoroughly enjoyed the various items on the menu that are included in the free breakfast. This hotel also had brilliant facilities such as two swimming pools, a business centre and a fitness centre that is nearby. It is within walking distance of many tourist attractions and the place to stay if you are traveling to Phnom Penh.
