Le Blanc Boutique Hotel

I stayed here two nights. The room is very clean and the hospitality was nice. Everyone was smiling. You may not like this hotel if what you look for is standard bed and a table to work with your computer. This is a place for someone who want comfort. A bit far away from the riverside or anywhere to party at night.

You want to like this hotel. Its very modern and a very interesting design by a local Cambodian architect who I must stress is not a hotelier.....and that shows. They have, after a 'soft opening,' hired a GM and in a couple on conversations with him I know they are trying to get things just right. The rooms for example look incredible but......the showers are deadly, very slippy floors, there aren't enough electrical sockets in the room, the mini bar is hooked up to the power switch so when you are out of the room it's not on, the beds look great but are a nightmare to get in and out of and your pillows fall off the top of the bed in the middle of the night because there's no head board.

We only had breakfast at this hotel and while it was ok the staff are determined to give you 1 of 3 'sets' whether you want it or not and it's sure going to come in whatever order they have decided for that day no matter what order you ask for it.

I think in time, once all the bigs are worked out this will be a great little place.

I stayed at Le Blanc for four nights on business trip, and had a great time. The manager and staff were very friendly and hardworking. The food at the restaurant was also great. Designed and owned by a young accomplished Cambodian architect, the place was brand new (opened in January). The hotel is centrally located, close to great restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions. The room was very spacious, quite and clean with a comfortable bed. Can't wait to go back on my next business trip!

We stayed 4 nights and reallyed enjoyed our time at Le Blanc. Staff were very friendly.
Food was good, but there was also a great restuarant across the road.
Close to most attractions and there is always tuk tuk at the front ready to take you where you want to go for a couple of dollars.
Massage available at hotel but also great spa in the next street. Pool table was fun to have.

Would highly recommend this hotel.

Felt like the only guests in the hotel (which can be a good thing). Place is very new and clean however quite cramped in lobby, pool area and rooms. There is no view, and most rooms you will want you blinds closed. No real difference between standard and luxury rooms (except a few extra sq meters and a chair in some luxury rooms). Staff were very helpful and attentive, cocktails are great, and like most places just be careful what you eat. Make sure you cheak out Deco restaurant which is across the street to the right ( on Corner). I didn't think it was very good value for money, but might have been better if we stayed in standard room.

Very well named, Le Blanc, done out completely in white. Just opened, absolutely gorgeous little hotel in a quiet and safe part of Phnom Penh with a young staff who bend over backwards to ensure that any stay is comfortable and that all needs are met. On entry into the lobby, you are presented with a full length wall mural in shades of grey and white depicting Cambodian culture - absolutely stunning and eventually to be duplicated on the walls on the second floor. Rooms are tastefully furnished, excellent mattresses and bathrroms that are equipped to a very high standard. Restaurant food is excellent, drinks at the bar are the same. Tuk-tuks are available right outside the door and can get you to the centre of town and the sights in minutes. Just across the street is the Decor (?) restaurant, rated as one of the best in Phnom Penh if you are looking for a meal outside the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at this hotel for any visit to Phnom Penh, The management are to be congratulated for where they are at present and I am sure things will only get better..

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, we looked at all of them

I really enjoyed my stay with this hotel. Le blanc is chic and modern and the staff is always ready to offer you their best service. I went there for a work trip and it is tucked in a quiet and safe area where it is easy to unwind with a cocktail at its verand after a busy work day. Wifi works excellent in the room and common area, and the library makes it an excellent spot for caual meet ups or to catch up with news without being cooped up in the room too much. I will defintely be back.
