We came here for a few drinks (we didnt stay at the hotel, a bit out of our budget) and I would highly recommend it! It as a unique history as the "Foreign Correspondents Club" in PP and has an exceptional view! Go between 5-7pm for 2 for 1 cocktails, excellent value and probably the best thing we did in PP!

This is positioned as a boutique hotel, but it's more like a nice restaurant and bar with some accommodation. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast is really good. The hotel is in a great location and its a good opportunity to spend some time at the rooftop bar. The only downside is the amount of noise in the rooms from the restaurant above, even into the early hours of the morning you could hear people walking and furniture being moved around. I'm not a very light sleeper but it kept me awake during the night. We stayed in the cheaper rooms, so the more expensive ones might be better. Also, we travelled during the low season so we got a really reduced rate - nearly 50% off I think. If you were spending the big bucks I would recommend somewhere else.

Great location! Gourmet breakfast. Very spacious rooms. Stayed there twice and the rooms had nothing in common, and I don't mean just different furniture or color of the walls, but totally different spaces. Polite staff. Knowing the history of the hotel makes your stay even more pleasant! And all these photos...

We spent three nights atthe FCC Phnom Phen, the core of a busy city.
The service was extremely sweet and helpfull. Amazing breakfast, and
We got a lot of help from the managament team during our trip within Cambodia.
A cool place to stay.

We decided to book an impromptu night at the FCC to break up our trip from Battambang to Sihanoukville, a family of four, I was pleased to find we had the Directors Apartment, a huge 2 bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the river for 50% of published rate.

The apartment was very spacious but the decor is really quite tired, it was fine for us as it was a base for a day but be aware the views are great, the rest of the room was just average.

The drinks at the adjoining bar were very expensive and relies on reputation alone, whereas there were now a few other roof top bars overlooking the river.

This is my second stay - the first being 5 years ago. No regrets as it's in a great location (all tuk tuk drivers know it) and service was good. We were able to check in when we arrived at 8am and also no issues at all when we asked for late checkout. Do expect some street noise as it is well, located along the main street! My boyfriend and i were okay with the noise - and i think most people will be if you dont expect a resort-like stay. The room we were given was large, also the ensuite was a good size. We had a balcony looking out to the Tonle Sap River. Breakfast was good. On one of the nights, the bar across the road was pretty busy with loud music and people having a party, so instead of staying in, we just crossed over and joined in! at the very low prices drinks can be bought for in Phnom Penh, it was really no issue to sit and drink all night. While i had no regrets staying a second time, i do agree with some other reviews that it is perhaps time for some refurbishment and updating. The front desk staff are helpful and speak good English. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

LOCATION - If you want to easily find your hotel without giving directions to your tuk tuk drivers, FCC is the hotel for you. Surprisingly, it has unique interiors that doesn't only focus on design but also on the historical events that took place in Cambodia. Food is also great specially if you'd want some break from Cambodian food.

SERVICE - Everyone greets you with a big Cambodia hello and thank you when you dine in their restaurant. In addition, when we moved from Phom Penh to Angkor, we forgot some items in Phom Phen. With one phone call, those items were delivered to Angkor the next day and they only charged us $1.50 to cover for the transportation cost that's absolutely understandable. That act alone shows a lot.

SUNSET - Cambodia has one of the best sunsets I've seen. If you're a big fan of sunrises and sunsets, stay on the rooftop of Phom Penh. You will not only see the sunset but you can also catch their happy hour from 5-7pm.

Room Tip: The bigger room facing the side street of the riverside has a nice veranda, the room next to it has...
