“As good as they get”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

This was the 4th time we have enjoyed an extended stay at Anise. Everything about this boutique hotel is top drawer. Customer service here is second to none. The staff are attentive, friendly and very skilled, the accommodations are clean and neat as a pin, the food service is well priced and delicious (the comp breakfast is worth the visit!) and Street 278 is a hub of activity. Book early, they don't have a lot of rooms.

Only stayed here one night, but the room was comfortable and the hotel had nice and beautiful Cambodian touches. Front desk was very helpful in arranging tuk-tuks for us and friendly and the breakfast was very good. Location was suitable for walking to or taking tuk-tuk to major sites and restaurants on the waterfront. We stayed on the top floor--i believe they gave us a complimentary upgrade--and the rooftop patio was nice.

Room Tip: No elevator but the top rooms have a nice view and are quiet. The hotel staff has porters who will c...

Definately recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Phnom Penh. The staff were top quality, friendly and very helpful. The location was great, just a short tuktuk ride to markets/riverside etc. Great food available too if you don't want to go out to a restaurant. The hotel was also very quiet, and sitting on the verandah having a drink in the evening was a wonderful experience. Would stay here again.

We had room 201 on the third floor, the stairs didn't bother us as the staff helped us up/down with the bags. Stayed for three nights and would stay here again, used a tuktuk to get around for $2-$3, we also walked to the riverfront and markets which took us about 25minutes at a very leisurely stroll. Breakfast had lots of western options and two Asian ones which was good, didn't eat at the restaurant otherwise. In the immediate vicinity there were some very western restaurants and bars/pubs which didn't bother us that we had to go further afield to find street food. Staff were very helpful in every way and the free laundry was a godsend!

Room Tip: No lift so be mindful if you can't go up a few flights, higher rooms have less street noise

Enjoyed staying at this place, nice friendly staff, good size room, efficient airport pick up, good location (we walked to the centre from here and a few lively bars nearby), nice breakfast - so overall very good. The only caveat would be that the hotel arranged for our bus to Battambang - which we were grateful for and it turned up on time, however the minibus was small and not very comfortable - not actually the hotels fault, but they did explain it was a 'bus' not a 'minibus' and told us it would only take 3 or 4 hours (whereas it took closer to 6...like we had expected).

Would happily stay here again!

Exceptional service from the moment we checked in. Rooms are great being very large and very clean. Breakfast choices were huge and always delicious. Free laundry daily. Wifi wasn't great on our floor but always worked in restaurant. Lots of restaurants close and able to walk around area easily. Overall was very impressed!

We stayed for 5 nights at the Anise hotel we would have loved to have stayed for more,Our room was large and a separate hallway leading to a balcony was perfect,The decor of the hotel overall was excellent, The terrace restaurant was also tastefully decorated, There was a large choice of asian and western food on the menu which attracted non residents as well as guest, The staff were very attentive and friendly, Good location.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor there are no lifts, So beware if you have problems climbing stairs.
