A nice place to stay, specifically if you are on a business trip. Good value for money. Like the location. Excellent staff and service. This was my second stay at the hotel and would love to stay again

Room Tip: Higher rooms have lesser road side noise but you have to climb stairs!

Stayed 2 separate times within the same week due to other travel. The first night, I was "upgraded" to an efficiency across the street. Room was fine, although plug in sink wouldn't release, rendering unable to drain water. Noise from street and establishment below required ear plugs to go to sleep. Had to unlock/lock iron gate each time you entered/exited the building.

Second night, I was "upgraded" again to a room with a sitting area outside that led to a balcony overlooking the city. This was certainly a better experience with a tub/shower combination and a sink that worked.

This establishment is used by our company all the time for foreign visitors. It's very reasonably priced and the staff go above and beyond to take care of you. The food is somewhat "westernized" so you don't wonder what you're getting. Overall, they do a great job. It wasn't quite as updated as the Anise in Hanoi, Vietnam, but it was certainly more spacious--for both the regular room and the annex across the street. There is also a good sense of security at this location with many westerners and NGO clientele. Probably one of the cleanest I stayed at in Cambodia.

I spend for 03 nights in this hotel, it's been very nice. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room also nice, we got a room with balcony face to the street with a nice city view, there is a set of complementary of tea&coffee make in room with 02 daily free drinking water. Breakfast was great, there are nine set we could choose, with tea or coffee. Dinner also nice with a nice cocktail... ahhh happy hour from 4pm to 7pm, don't forget to come at this time.

For the first day of arriving from airport, we met a friendly driver who arranged by this hotel, he is very nice. Arrived to the hotel with a nice welcoming drink with all smile from the staffs. During the stay we got a very friendly and helpful from all the staff, especially front desk, they organized transportation for us to almost every where in the city. Getting to Phnom Penh you may want to go to Killing Field, S21, Palace, Museum, Russian market... the hotel staff are able to arrange the tour for us, it's been very nice. At the end of the stay, they also arranged two bus tickets for us to Siem Reap... All the thing are wonderful for us during our stay in Anise Hotel.

Anise Hotel is our home in Phnom Penh, we would highly recommend this hotel. All people in this hotel are very friendly, staff are very professional...
Nice Hotel we been to!!!

Room Tip: Book easier is better, this hotel always full...

great service by the staff, they make you feel very welcome!! the rooms are simple but you wont spend so much time in there (it dosent mean its bad) the hotel its close to everyplace you have to go.

ask for TAMAP (tuk-tuk driver) to take you to every place you want to go! he is amazing he will wait for you until you are dead tired.

great hotel. no need to look somewhere else!

The bar is lovely. The food is good, the drinks are good and cheap and the staff are lovely. Who doesn't live sitting outside on wicker while surrounded by tropical plants and watching the world go by? It's fabulous.

Our room just let the stay down.
We had a double bed (for me and my mum!), and a small one at that. Not enough room for two people to get ready and walk around. From what other reviews have said we must have had a duff room (room 101). Possibly also coming from Vietnam I was disappointed in the space offered.

Bathroom was fine but was a tiny wet room, so the loo got drenched when you had a shower, and reduced possibility of drying/dressing in there (like I said I was sharing with my mum). It was also pretty loud with music and traffic right outside the window, which I slept through but my mum couldn't. Finally we couldn't get the temperature right! Aircon made it freezing but when it's 25 degrees at night you need it!

Like I say, the actual bar/restaurant/overall was lovely and we came to feel very at home here. But the a rural room did really let the whole thing down.

Excellent reception upon arrival including a nice cold drink. You can launder 5 pieces of clothing a day for free, there is a good selection at breakfast, and helpful and friendly staff. We only ate dinner here as every night we walked around the nearby streets and nowhere was as busy as the hotel. The food here is really good and reasonably priced. The dining area is very calming. The rooms are big, clean, have hot water for showers, and free bottled drinking water every day.

The Anise Hotel is one thing you can rely on in Cambodia. Booking by the internet is efficient and quick. I have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, from reception to the dining staff. There is a free daily laundry service for a limited number of items. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The verandah dining area is a great spot to watch the comings and goings of Phnom Penh in comfort while listening to a musician playing traditional Khmer instruments, but there is also an air conditioned dining area for those who want something cooler. I love this hotel and always look forward to my visits.

Room Tip: There is no elevator so if you have trouble with stairs ask for a room on the first floor.
