We stayed here for 1 night and it was an amazing stay. The room was very clean and had a nice little balcony. Lots of nice little touches like the fruit plate and soft furnishings - very boutique feel. The bathroom was quite basic and the room safe was broken but other than that it was fine. The lady at the front desk - her name was Thaveka was extremely helpful, she helped us call the tuk tuk driver who had picked us up from the coach station to arrange for the him to take us to the Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Museum the next day. She also helped arrange a private taxi for us to Kep which wasn't easy as it was the Chinese New Year period. I'm not a cat lover, but did like the numerous cats lounging around the pool and eating area. The tropical style garden was very very soothing and relaxing. The made to order breakfast was fresh and delicious. We also had a leisurely lunch here which was very tasty and relaxing amongst the vegetation.

We spent 2 nights in a delux room (well worth the little extra) at this gardeniferous hotel in Phnom Penh. The room was very spacious and very close to the wonderful bar and pool area. The property is very green - lots of trees and plants and is a pleasant place to hang out when you are done with your day in the city. The staff were all wonderfully friendly (Cambodia is known for that!) and very helpful in suggesting places for us to go. The food at the restaurant was better than expected. Great curry and their smoothies are epic!

The hotel is located on the same street as the prime minister's residence do there is no traffic on the street (barriers and guards) - walking distance to the Royal Palace and the river - great location.

Room Tip: Do go on the Butterfly river cruise offered by the hotel. Well worth it for a sunset session.

We stayed at the kabiki for 2 nights with our 2 kids aged 4 & 6. This was truly a peaceful and tranquil place right in the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh.

It's very family friendly hotel and our kids loved the pool after a hot day of walking around the royal palace and museum.

Rooms are spacious however the top bunk could do with a slightly higher rail on the side.

Breakfast was good and food in general was very good.

Overall a very good stay.

Nicely situated in a quit neighborhood with large rooms. The building and decor are nice and the garden is lit up night time which gives it a cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and service minded. The breakfast is nice but very limited and becomes quit repetitive after more than two days the rooms are fairly large but simple and not very clean. The same holds for the pool. By the way, be aware of all the families (expats with no access to a pupil of their own) that invade the hotel over weekends and turn the place in to a play grounds which makes it far from pleasant to relax at.

Dear Guest,

Since you stayed at Kabiki 1 year ago may things have changed.
We have improved our cleaning procedure and we now have 4 choices for breakfast: Continental, American, Healthy and Asian.

The Kabiki is a family friendly hotel and we often have expats staying at the hotel for the week end. They are like all our other guests and are allowed to use the pool with their family.

We allow only a limited number of guest from outside to use the pool when the hotel is not full.

If you don't want to have kids around I will recommend our sister hotel the Pavilion that doesn't allowed kids under 16 years old.

Cheers
Estelle

Stayed at this hotel for three nights during a tour of Cambodia. The staff at the hotel were excellent. Right from checking us in with a lovely cold towel and fruit drink to waving us off on our last day, the staff were first class. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. We had lunch a couple of times at the poolside and it was tasty and served with a smile! If you want a tuk tuk look up Yaya outside the hotel. He took us down to the riverside for the bargain price of $2. He recommended a restaurant -The Saravan down by the river. It was lovely and part of a charitable project. The hotel was very quiet at night so we were always able to get a good nights sleep but close enough to the bars and restaurants to go out for a meal and a drink at night. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks again to the fantastic and friendly staff who used to serve us our last drink in the bar each night!

I stayed here for only 1 night with my daughter ..but so wished I'd stayed longer. Room was huge, spotless and beautiful. Little touches were thoroughly appreciated. from the fabulous breakfast, to the welcome, to the introduction to our room, to our late checkout, to hel;ing us arrange complex travel services....everything was to be commended. Every little thing we asked for, they kindly and warmly accommodated us. The staff were all so friendly and professional. I really cant' say enough positive about our stay here. I'd like to thank all the staff at Kabilki for making us feel so welcome. we will be back :)

The hotel was booked for us by Bamboo Travel Company for the first two nights of our stay in Cambodia. The city is noisy and busy but this hotel is down a side street in a central part of the city and is evidently next door to the home of a government minister, as the road is guarded by the military. Although this sounds daunting, it is not a problem, as hotel clients are readily allowed through the barrier and one feels the hotel and grounds are therefore very safe. The reception and catering staff are helpful and speak good English. The room was large, airy and very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. We tended to eat in the outside restaurant area near to the swimming pool, and although the menu was not extensive, it was good Cambodian food, served by friendly staff. I would recommend this as a comfortable, safe, centrally situated, friendly hotel .

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
After opening our famous Pavilion boutique hotel, we realised, as people with family ourselves, that Phnom Penh needed a resort that was family orientated and child friendly. The historic colonial house we found on Oknha Peich Street with its 3500m2 of surrounding land was perfect. Caring, friendly staff, lots of nature for children to explore, the Kabiki is a place to relax, take a swim and lounge in the sun between days exploring Phnom Penh and the nearby attractions of the Royal Palace, Wat Botum and the riverside. We planted over 500 native trees, many of which we've placed name tags on so you can identify them yourselves. ... more   less
