Villa Langka is in the shadow of a very nearby and impressive looking Wat which can be seen from the pool area. It's a nice pool and was not very crowded when I was there. Everything about the hotel seems to suggest the vertical, lots of tall slender bamboo and other trees surrounding the pool and the rooms themselves must have 15 foot ceilings. The standard rooms are small and really not very inviting. They are clean enough but have tiny LCD televisions which are no fun to watch. The bathrooms don't have sufficient lighting and the robes which are provided are made for very small Asians. Just try to squeeze into one. I was told when I checked in that the hotel had hot water which is a strange thing to say since I don't recall having hot water problems on my earlier visits to the city. As it turned out, the hotel did not have hot water. Maybe the receptionist had been trying to tell me so and I had misunderstood. That was a bit of an aggravation.
The hotel is at its best in its common areas and I think the whole experience would be a much better one if you spring for a room upgrade. The standard room just won't cut it.
By Phnom Penh standards the hotel is in an excellent area. It's quiet and there are plenty of good restaurants just minutes away. The hotel restaurant serves excellent salads at reasonable prices. They really should upgrade the breakfast buffet. It's a bit above mediocre but with a few more Western offerings, it could be a good one.
The staff speaks pretty good English and they were quite professional. It's a restful place to stay. Like most places in Phnom Penh, you only have to walk out the door of the hotel to find a waiting tuk tuk.

Room Tip: Choose a bigger room. It will make a big difference. I think a higher floor is preferable too. There...

Hope to welcome you at Villa Langka again someday.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel for 2 nights with my family (parents, sister, husband and kids). All 3 generations enjoyed the stay. Fabulous breakfast, cozy ambience, clean rooms, professional staff. There was always a tuk tuk outside of the hotel to take us around town.

We stayed at the Villa Langka in Phnom Penh for only for one day and night and the experience was very comfortable. The room that we stayed in was very tastefully done with contemporary minimal design elements.

The pool side restaurant and the food served was fantastic and the service was great too. The front office staff even helped us book seats on the bus to Siem Reap. On the whole, a beautiful resort with very helpful and enthusiastic staff. We would recommend the Villa Langka to other travellers for sure!

I've stayed at Villa Langka 3 times over the last 5 years and it's still my favourite hotel in Phnom Penh. A swimming pool is essential and this one is surrounded by lush gardens and is very tranquil. I always stay in room 12 (a standard double upstairs) - whilst it is close to entrance it is very quiet. The food is excellent here as are the cocktails! The buffet breakfast will fill you up until lunchtime. The owners have added a shop in the last year or so, which stocks lovely clothes, jewellrey, soaps, etc. I'll definitely be back!

Thank you so much for your review! We are glad you chose Villa Langka for your recent stay and we are equally glad to meet your expectations. Indeed, Khmeritudes, our souvenir shop, opened in September last year. We are trying to bring all the best Cambodian crafts together in one place to make the shopping process less time-consuming and more enjoyable! We hope to welcome you back to your "home away from home" in the nearest future!

We chance upon this lovely boutique hotel while searching for a place to stay for our recent trip bet 26-30 April 2013.
We were so impressed w d surrounding..esp the pool, the accessabilities of the hotel and the friendliness of your young team.
Although we could have a better check in...cos our flight (jetstar) was delayed from 2000hrs arr to 12midnight.
So when we arrived, the receptionist brought our lugguage to our room and thats it...oh well...it would have been nice to have a more welcoming gesture..but it was ok...overall we had a most relaxing time and we will definitely b back agn n tis time, we hope to book villa#4...
Thank you for creating Villa Langka for all of us to come back to..
Our last trip was 5 yrs ago n much have changed..
All the best to you Natalie and team.
God bless.
We hope to b back soon.

really surprising hotel - you pull onto a side street from the real hustle and bustle and you are in a little secluded retreat! I think the hotel is much more geared up for couples than young families - but the accommodation was excellent, we had a huge suite and adjoining room , however the steps to it were not that great for young feet. Food was very good and service was attentive.

We are glad you enjoyed staying at Villa Langka. The garden is indeed very secluded and the atmosphere is peaceful. It is hard to say whether Villa Langka is more suitable for couples or families, we have solo travelers who come for work, families with kids enjoying vacations and young people exploring Cambodia. Everyone can find something to their liking and we are certainly happy to welcome everybody.
