I have just spent another two weeks at Villa Langka - I prefer the old buildings where you get lovely tiled floors and four-poster beds (try room 11, 3 or 4). The room rates are so, so, so good. For $110 you get palatial space - I was happy with doubles for quite a bit less! The staff are exceptional, in particular the team that run the small restaurant are brilliant. Breakfast is a treat with homemade muesli, eggs to order, fresh croissants, piles of tropical fruit, Asian soups and homemade jams. The pool is blissful - swim laps and look at the roof of Wat Langka across the road. The location is right near the main Monument on the edge of BKK1 so it's easy to get everywhere. In the evenings, candles are lit around the pool and it is beautifully quiet. Lots of city residents actually come here to chill, use the wifi and enjoy the oasis. This is one of the most lovely hotels in the world. Who thought 3-star could be so fabulous. Am counting the days until I go back to my home away from home.

Room Tip: Always stay in the original hotel!

Toured Vietnam and Cambodia and of the six hotels, this was the most charming and full of character. The facilities were lovely and the breakfast and meals were most enjoyable. Would fully recommend this hotel.

This was a real haven towards the end of our 3 weeks. An amazing place, lovely sparkly staff, good food and very reasonable, even the Prosecco wasn't over priced. We loved everything about our room and I had the pool to myself for a moonlight swim 2 nights in a row. It was just lovely, nothing bad to say about it. Even had a charming little Boutique on site where I bought some lovely bits and pieces made in Cambodia, some for me and some for presents. Would go back there tomorrow if I could. Found it very romantic but think even non romantics would be very happy there.

This is maybe the most charming place we stayed during our trip! Everybody was really nice and convenient. The breakfast was amasing with all the juice, fruits, breads and cooked dishes.

There is at least two kind of rooms. The other couple traveling with us had a good/average room. Our was just the dream room of any couple! With a big open bathroom, it was an appeal to any kind of romantism you like!

The pool is really helpful during the hot season. And the location is perfect. You can easily reach the royal palace by walking. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Thank you a lot!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with an open bathroom. For example one of those located atop the reception!

An oasis in Phnom Penh. Character rooms, pool surrounded by mature tropical garden. Friendly, kind staff. Relaxed feel. The food is top notch nosh. Central location but on quiet narrow street with interesting pagoda across the road. I didn't want to leave and would go back anytime. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Stay in the original, older building.
