The King Hotel has got lot of thing to be improved.
The quality of cleaning - do not try to check for cleanliness of the windows ... they have dust on the top as well as a balcony and the outer part of the windows are covered with dust.
The window in my room was secured by a screw - it was not possible to put a fresh air by window...
The hotel staff did not refuse to repair the window, one worker has tried to fix it, but his attempts were unsuccessful.
Nevertheless, the staff is affable, meeting you with a smile.
Breakfast was worthy of all praise.
The hotel pretend to King's european quality, but so far has only european price...

Room Tip: Do not try to look under the bedside tables, carpets and bed, there may be dusty, as it was in my ro...

Came here on business arranged by the company, so didn't have a choice. Hotel staff were nice enough but powerless to respond to problems. Breakfast buffet was very poor with little selection - mostly cold when it should have been hot. Only ate it because it was included in the price. Also it's unusual for an supposed 4-star not to have a fitness facility. I got an upgraded room which was very large with a separate sitting area, but just a bare sofa and table - no TV. The only TV was in the separate bedroom. Bathroom was nicely appointed and clean. Furniture was low quality IKEA style, but fairly new and in decent condition - same with the carpet. My only real complaint was the thing "alleged" to be a bed. They are palming off box spring foundations as the mattress. I actually laid on the floor and found it softer. The bed frame had wide slats that didn't support the "alleged" mattress either resulting in further discomfort. I actually stood on the edge of the "alleged" mattress and it depressed less than a centimeter with my 100 kilos - See photo! Needless to say, I got Zero sleep that night.

Room Tip: None, if your goal is a decent night's sleep

Even if Astana can offer more luxury hotels, King Hotel is a good compromise, rooms are comfortable and clean. Hotel building is tall, and around 12 floor noise with open windows is very high. Closing windows comfort is perfect.
Air conditioning in bedroom can help in warm summer.
City View is not so bad, but windows glasses was too dirty to allow any view! maybe never cleaned ( from outside )
Breakfast is fine, continental, with many different option, from salty to sweet.
Reception personnel is fine and English speaking, waiters in breakfast room not all are able to menage foreign language.

Clean rooms. Good breakfast in Astana standards. There is no gym in such a huge hotel. Terrible shower in a unnecessary jacuzzi, very hard to adjust water temperature. Very low water flow in shower as well.

I came here just cause i found an amazing offer for a double room. It's a 4 stars hotel, but in my opinion is far far away from other 4 stars. Room is good, quite big, but furniture are VERY old and not of a good quality. Toilet room is quite dirty also. The worst part anyway is the restaurant inside hotel: i know this should not be part of the review, but it's embarrassing to have such quality. By the way, i give 3 star to this Hotel cause 3 stars it's what it deserve: it's cheap for Astana standards, but quality is not bad. I don't think i can plan to stay in this hotel for more than 3 days, but in case of fast business trip i think it's a good compromise.

Room Tip: Some room have balcony, other not, so especially if you are a smoker, ask for a balcony room

This is reputed to be the biggest hotel in Asia, but each individual is treated well. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Inside was always warm ven when it was -32 outside. There are a few shops and restaurants close by and also a very popular market.
