Even judged by local standards I found this place disappointing. They were out of parmesan today at lunchtime, but did not tell me when I ordered, so I thought "ham with parmesan" meant just that until it appeared in front of me. Then of course the (mediocre) pasta dish I had ordered came not with parmesan but a glutinous yellow trail which made me think of a snail with indigestion. I thought the coffee might rescue the meal but the less said about that the better. I gather the Adriatico is owned by an Italian entrepreneur but there is no sign in this rather dingy restaurant of any pleasure being taken in the creation of dishes. I will stick to the local cuisine.
