Very good food, nice ambience, and a choice of indoor or outdoor (in season) dining. Good French wine list. Very good breakfast selection. Tasty preparation and nice presentation. Young energetic staff who serve with courtesy and genuine enjoyment. If you stay at Evropa Hotel and don't have time or want to go out, you're lucky! Or if you want a night out, you have a new destination for an evening of fine dining.

I was there with a group of 10 for dinner. We were the only customers in the place, and yet it took them over an hour to serve our main courses. When the service finally began, they brought out 3 plates every 20 mins, so the last member of our group was served an hour after the first plates were served. Our host was clearly embarassed and the staff went into hiding when we'd ask what was happening to the remainder of our orders. The usual shrug and stare. Perhaps the French chef also needs to see what's going on in his dining room. There are plenty of other less pretentious places to go.

A very nice selection of French menu items and wines highlight Ratatouille in Bishkek. Located in the basement of Hotel Europa, the restaurant is extremely comfortable. Service was excellent. We were a multi-lingual group and the server handled our English and Russian questions with ease. French onion soup and pumpkin soup were hits. Roasted duck breast, beef, and pork dishes were well prepared and tasty. Prices are above average for Bishkek, but quality is also above average.

I decided to create the listing for this restaurant - thats how strongly I felt about it :)
I ordered a "double rabbit" with carrots and the meal was excellently cooked with just the right softness of the meat.
The wine list is a bit overpriced for the types of wines there, which are mainly sourced from another French store in town. The price for bottles of wine range from KGS 1,900 up to KGS 5,700 with the price for one glass being KGS 200.
In terms of the atmosphere, the furniture is new and location of tables allows to be seen and to see other visitors. There is no physical barrier between the smoking and non-smoking rooms, which, in case you are allergic to cigarettes, can be a bit of a distraction.
The bathroom is located in the adjacent hotel upstairs.
Overall, I would recommend this place for Sunday brunch or early dinner with friends or family.
Price-wise, the place is average compared to similar cafes in town.
