“Average Hotel on a nice location”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

My second stay, very improved had the Vansana surroundings. The Riverside place has now a nice promenade with many small restaurants, romantic lit nightly popping up.
That makes the
hotel now more interesting. the rooms are big, nice and to the ricerside witha good view, the pool still loveless!
The breakfast from the town of Sparta lol, so spartan! Disappointed I was also as the accepted only Dollars and fined me with a harsh and strange Exchange rate from Baht to Dollar!
Already its a expensive Hotel room price by Thai standards!
But location. location, that makes it still worth in my opinion.

We were there during Songran and the hotel was nearly empty both of visitors and staff but I hasten to add that there was no complaint on service as those on duty very adequately coped.
However the breakfast choice fell well short of what we expected.

Room Tip: Get one with a front view but it will cost you more

Very disappointed.
Awfully noisy all night. I couldn't sleep.
Cleaner rudely tried to open to clean my room at 10AM. They had loud walkie-talkies, even I thought they are 007 agents or something.
Breakfast was worse than GH or hostels.

Unfortunately we have nothing positive to say about this hotel - it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at during our extensive Asian travels. On arrival, the reception staff were so glum and unfriendly with little understanding of English.
When we got to our room we found hairs and stains on the sheets which were begrudgingly changed with no apology, rather it was amusing to them. On completition the bedspread was simply screwed up and literally thrown in a cupboard.

The hotel and decor are old and at $60.00 per night for a standard room, way overpriced
We couldn't wait to leave and moved to a much nicer, friendlier and better priced hotel the following day.

It's a short ride from the airport. Bedroom is huge and cozy. Bathroom has cubicled shower room with strong showers and warm fluffy towels. Room has a balcony which overlooks Mekong river and Nongkhai Thailand. staff are nice. A hearty buffet breakfast by the poolside is simply lovely. Peaceful and quiet. nice place to relax and unwind from the maddening crowd. downside? the internet wifi is a pain as it's quite slow and needs a pin to log-in :((

We strolled into this hotel after dark so didn't quite realise what we were walking into, we paid $20 for a double air con room which I thought was fine as everything around here seems pretty expensive and it did include breakfast... Great.

The room was clean enough and my main positive had a lovely pillow and no mould on the wall. After a relatively good sleep we were awoken at 6.30AM with a bang to realise there were building works going and we would definitely NOT be able to get back to sleep, for $20 all we wanted was a lie in in a comfortable room :(.

We were really peeved when we realised the building was actually coming from INSIDE our hotel and had still been charged a pretty hefty fee with no mention of this upon check in. We went down to get breakfast which the only option was tuna out of the tin and bread as the kitchen was out of bounds also due to the building works, we sat there and waited for a while but in the end gave up on sitting in a building site as The noise and dust was horrific.

Needless to say we checked out swiftly and will not be returning, it may be nice when it is actually a functioning hotel but it was a pretty bad experience for us.

This well located hotel is river front facing and within close proximity to places of interest and restaurants. Price range is reasonable but you get a view, generous amount of room space and the location is on a quieter side. Recommended.
