“Good view for breakfast”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

I stayed here only one night and that was enough for me. Location - on the banks of the Mekong you can see Thailand on the opposite side. Nice for morning and evening walks. The staff were friendly enough, the hotel was clean, the room on the top floor was large but very basic, the bed was comfortable enough, the shower worked ok (basic bathroom) I didnt need to use the a/c, and the breakfast was good enough sitting outside with a view of the Mekong at sunrise. The bad thing for me was the karaoke which went on and on and on...I could hear all the bad singers and it was not good! Your experience may vary if its not karaoke night! The walls are pretty thin though so dont be too noisy! FYI - Wifi does not work/very weak on the 5th floor. In the lobby it was fine.

The room is okay, basic condition as other hotels in Vientiane with similar price. The roof top restaurant is good. While the wifi doesn't work at all in my room. I have to go to the lobby to use the wifi.
Generally it worth the price considering it provides free airport transfer service.

Room Tip: Room on the first floor couldn't use wifi.

Stayed at this hotel for six nights. We got a room on the top floor which is the same floor as the restaurant but the walls were paper thin. We can hear every cough and every sneeze from our neighbors. Good hot shower but low pressure and the smell from the drain was very bad throughout our stay. Wifi in the room was spotty. The room is very spacious and clean.
The ac in our room couldn't keep cold during the day but fine at night.
Breakfast was average. They ran out of food by nine o'clock even though breakfast was scheculed until 10 a.m.
Front desk was helpful and friendly.

Comfortable hotel on the water. Breakfast was one of best we had on trip with many options and a wonderful view of the Mekong. The rooms are standard and the hot water worked in the shower. The walk to the city is only 15 minutes. There's plenty of good massages close by as well.

Even though it was on the top floor, the a/c did not work very well during the day, but very strong at night. The view from the restaurant is nice, and at sunset. The breakfast was excellent. The guy at the front desk was not too helpful with the a/c issue. The room was huge, the bathroom a cave, but very usable. It was a bit out of the way, but walkable to the center of town and most sites and restaurants.

This hotel is a little distance away from the actual river. There was a lot of construction going on on both the river banks and the roads all dug up. This is actually a small 2-star guest-house type Hotel. there are several other Hotels like this closer to the city centre. The room was large but very basic. The bathroom was barely there. The shower pressure very weak. Hot water was a luxury. The terrace restaurant has a nice view at night but is very expensive compared to the myriad small restaurants walking distance from the Hotel. It is a ten minute walk to the city centre but at night with no street lamps, it is a challenge. The bed was hard and the air-conditioner noisy. But seeing the filth all around the streets, the hotel seemed a clean oasis. If i'm again at Vientiane, I would not stay here.
