Pros: Very central. Nice and quiet in a dead end side street. Numerous facilities (restaurant, bars, ATM) within 200m around the corner on main street. Clean

Cons: Very poor breakfast. No a real shower (shower head in small bathtub).

Room Tip: Choose "suite" room which are much larger and worth it considering the small addition in p...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in May 2014 and I can say that this is the worst hotel that we stayed at during our trip across S.E Asia in terms of value and service. The price of 44USD per night is really overpriced considering there is no customer service at all: No greeting when you checking in or goodbye when you leave, No basic information about the surrounding area from the staff and the owner/manager exudes an air of unfriendliness. The rooms are small and very dark. Bed sheets and towels are old with holes in them. The air con was pretty much useless as it seemed to leave half the room cold and the other half too hot. Very poor breakfast; two eggs one piece of ham.

The only good thing I can say is the location's ok. But Vientiane is a small city so that doesn't even really matter.

Very disappointing, overpriced hotel.

A good location in downtown, needs can be satisfied in short distance. It don't have a good view and need going up by stairs, but hotel interior design and good maintenance is comfortable.
The light breakfast with tropical fruits is ok for me.

Chose this hotel based on reviews as we wanted to stay somewhere nice for last nights in laos but reviews seem to be completely off and at 44USD a night this hotel is totally overpriced as well:

- VERY NOISY AT NIGHT with ongoing noises from dogs, roosters, gekkos (turns out there was one in our room as well!)
- Double room is very small.
- Toilet/shower room is without fan/windows and it gets very hot.
- Room at 3rd floor with no lift.
- Staff are a joke, hardly speak at all, let alone smile.
- No way to operate the a/c without having cold air pumped straight at you as the a/c'er is above the bed.

AVOID !!

Our 2nd stop in vientiane on the way back from our trip to vang vieng. This was a budget hotel this time but was good enough for us. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were ok.
Breakfast was ok with real coffee. The hotel is in a soi but you can get to the road the other end through the temple. Plenty of restaurants near and for the money a good choice.
I would be happy to stay here again if in vientiane

Spent a few days recovering in this hotel before flying out. The room was nice, TV had several English channels and sheets were clean. The breakfast buffet was OK, but some items ran out by 8:30 and they didn't refill.

Staff were slow and inattentive; forgetting coffee, giving lazy directions "out the door and that way", etc.

Major turnoff- the bathroom smelled like sewage rotting in the sun for a thousand years. The smell was unbelievable and became worse later in the day, I guess after the pipes backed up. Note- it is so bad that I can't recommend staying here. Its noxious.

Management tried to act surprised at our complaint, as if this horrendous smell could go unnoticed by staff.

Also, no elevators here. If you have difficulty with stairs, ask for a room on the lower floors.

Room Tip: If you're sensitive to smell, ask staff about getting a room without the sewer smell.

I have had less than satisfactory experiences with hotels on my visits to the city. I have found them expensive for a poor standard & often the food has been atrocious.
This hotel is certainly not the best I have ever stayed in but it was probably the best in Vientiane.
It represented fair value for money & while there were flaws they were not sufficiently serious to ruin my stay.
The included breakfast was a bit basic but everything was edible which was a major step forward from other establishments.
Staff were bright & cheerful & willing.
I will stay again the next time I visit that is for certain.

Room Tip: There are a few rooms at the front of the building that have a balcony overlooking the street. as i...
