Functional room facilities, but without any charm. Rooms without balconies and usually not even a window. Look out! As this is not mentioned on most of the booking pages, it may happen that you end up in a dark hole with no natural light and fresh air. If you are lucky enough to get one of the few rooms with a window, you will still be staring at the wall of a neighboring house.

Furthermore, the informations about airport pickup service and a rooftop terrace are wrong! The "rooftop terrace" is just an empty, unfinished top floor. A pick-up service from the airport is not offered.

In the bathroom the shower head was too low, at only about 1.50 m height. There was no hand shower. So washing your hair is quite an effort. The vent in the windowless bathroom did not work. We only found a used, almost empty toilet paper roll of the predecessor; Furthermore the bed sheet had huge yellow stains.

Air conditioners are super loud and rattle. Running them at night would be impossible.

The buffet breakfast is a joke. Except toast and butter, there were only bananas and / or margarines for non-Asian guests (if there was something left, because the buffet was never filled up). Otherwise there is only rice and a indeterminable Asian dish. The coffee is just flabby instant coffee of a local brand. Unenjoyable for us.

Disturbing were frequent slamming doors and barking dogs. Flush toilets and water pipes rustled and vibrated so loudly that you literally fall out of your bed at night, as soon as the neighbor uses it's bathroom.

Staff is friendly but lacks essential english skills.

The "spa" consists only of a massage chair next to the breakfast room.

Conclusion: For what you get the room rates are too high. There are many cheaper alternatives.

Room Tip: room with a window

Checked in 9 Jan checked out 12 Jan 2013. I was given a room at the end of the corridor: room no. 38 facing 3 storey shoplot (I guess so). No nice view but the room very clean, spacious room, good lighting and great service if you have WIFI problem, breakfast was ok, no food available if you hungry during lunch time or wanting afternoon snack. Good hotel if you want some quiet time alone here and the hotel look simple and ordinary (what you expect a shoplot turn to hotel?) but no busy loud music disco or pub or lounge that I known of here.

Opposite the hotel: morning market and Talat Sao Mall (don't expect too much from this mall), but if you decided to be in the tourist area better stay around Mekong river or closer to riverside. Many choices of place to stay and many, many choices of cafe, restaurant and food outlet and MORE happening!! From this hotel to the tourist attraction (Mekong River) Tuk Tuk charged me 40,000.00 Kip and you must sealed the deal first and agreed with the price given before you ride in as I was charged 50,000.00 Kip (my mistake).

Great rooms and bathrooms. Very clean, great service. Not a bad location to be in, bit of a walk to get into town. No windows but that wasn’t a problem for us, book the suites if you want windows. Helpful staff. Would stay again.

We were surprised at how nice the room was as the hotel looks pretty ordinary from the street. We had a large suite across the front of the 4th floor which was light and airy and very roomy. It had a lounge area separated from the sleeping area by an screen and had a flat screen tv in each area. The bathroom was spacious and the whole suite was spotlessly clean. The hot water never got above lukewarm and the hot food at breakfast was cold as there was no heat under the bain marie. I pointed this out so some were lit. We went to breakfast early the next morning hoping to get hot food but they lit the heating things when they saw me. This is my only criticism. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is near a market and a big shopping centre. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: It was a very quiet location.

Lane Xang Princess is located in the central business district and not to be confused with Lane Xang Hotel, which is closer to the riverside. The shop-house 3-star hotel is next to Talat Sao Mall and Morning Market, and close to the bus station. The hotel lobby is fairly spacious but simple. The room has comfortable bed, air-conditioning, clean bathroom, tea making facility and LCD TV.My room, however, has no windows which could be claustrophobic for some people but ok for me. Breakfast is simple ala carte English breakfast.

Room Tip: If you like rooms with windows, then specify as you may get one without windows.
