There was lunch set offered when I visited the restaurant. The staffs were mostly friendly and it had a nice vibe.

Very good French food. Pricey by local standard but I suppose food must be imported into Laos.
Ate with our French friends and they said it was very good standard. My husband especially loved the lamb shanks, melt in your mouth, and my son the steak tartare. First time eating raw beef, survived!
Very good dessert, especially the profiteroles and ice cream!

Terribly expensive restaurant with good food and decent wines.
Not recommended for vegetarians.
Atmosphere is not great. Staffs are polite but obviously not motivated and interested in what they are doing.
Lot of better places in Vientiane.

What a shame, this has such potential and with a real french chef. It could be a lovely cosy bistro just like in France. Instead the it lacks atmosphere. The staff are 'just doing their job'. Don't get me wrong, they are polite and when they understand what you require they are most helpful. They lack enthusiasm about their job and the food they are serving. The french onion soup was 'OK', the deep-fried camembert can be recommended. The medium rare duck was fairly tough and the beef fillet nothing to rave about. With a bottle of red and a glass of white just under $90. A fairly pricy night out when you have to add a return trip in a taxi. We went due to Trip Advisor reviews but feel some reviews to be a bit too generous (& yes, chef was on duty that night).

If you want to eat really well and are prepared to pay near European prices, go here. Excellent steak and various tartars. Good wine too.
