The Travellers House is located right by the river so it is extremely convenient to get around. The room was big and clean, with lockers provided under your bed (not the most secure since anybody can just pull up your mattress and see what you have under, but this appears common in Laos). There was only one toilet per floor which was not enough - there is a larger bathroom on the first floor beside the reception desk, but it's a little troublesome to have to climb up and down just to use the bathroom.
There is a nice common area downstairs with a pool table, and the happy hour every night (free Lao whiskey) makes for a great atmosphere for socialising. A note though, that their beers seem a little expensive compared to what you can get at the convenience store around the corner.
They also provide a decent breakfast that is included in the room rate (bread with sausages/eggs), and fruit juice.
Overall, a good place to stay if you want to meet people.
