Stayed here for only one night. But the staff were amazingly friendly and willing to help with anything. The manager suggested a delicious cheap spot for dinner. The dorms are clean and pretty basic. Lockers under beds. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is included and good. I would definitely stay here again. Cheers!!

i stayed here for 3 nights in june 2014, and as a seasoned globetrotter i have to say i absolutely loved this place! from the moment i walked in the gate i was instantly welcomed and made to feel at home. these guys are really making the effort, its the small things that make the difference, from the moment you check in they have you in the books by your first name and they make a real effort to remember it! i was there to do a visa run from thailand and they sorted it all out for me with no fuss, i didn't have to lift a finger just handed over my passport and the cash and it came back the next day exactly when they said it would. they have great food at good prices, and the atmosphere in the hostel is very welcoming, with amazing wall art that they are continuously adding too (see if you can find the 4 pieces of art that unlock the key to wisdom corner) the music playing in the common area is well selected modern and old stuff but always good! they have movie nights, fight nights they try to get any of the big sports games on in the movie room, beer pong, badminton or vollyball court, twister, they really have thought of everything and they activly ask for suggestions to help them improve, i stayed in both a dorm and a private room and the only negative i could say is that the private room did not have a fan (it has ac but i dont like to sleep with that) all in all possibly the best experience i have had in a hostel i will be back and i will recomend to all of my friends to do the same! check it out you wont be dissapointed

dorms are simple but have air con and are spotless. the atmosphere is unbeatable, wall art, big indoor common area for folks to chat and eat breakfast together, which is cooked to your liking and included. phil is very warm and appreciative of your stay and david was incredibly helpful with navigating the city, helping me plan further travel, and is always happy to carry your bag. it seems david is always around so you've always got a friend to chat with too. you can run a tab for extra water, beer, food, etc. and i met some wonderful travelers here. preferred the hostel to the city actually haha. its down an alley so dont miss the sign, and make sure to specify 'garden' to your driver as the other hostel in town is often confused for this one. my one reccomendation would be for them to get more outdoor seating as everyone was always hanging outside. thanks guys for helping me begin my trip in such a great way!

Great price with really tasty breakfast included. I love the friendly staffs, the large space for which to park my bike, the mango trees planted around providing dessert for me, funky murals and the freaking awesome movie room!

The sihome backpacker gardens hostel was the friendliest, most chilled, best staffed hostel I ve stayed in in SEA , PHIL the manager went out of his way to make sure all guests were happy & his staffs knowledge of Vientiane made for some really memorable nights at some of the local restaurants, I would recommend staying here to any weary traveller staying in Vientiane

We stayed at Sihome Backpackers Garden (there are two Sihome Backpackers within a short distance) on two separate occasions during our visit to the capital of Laos. The first time, our double room wasn't available when we showed up in the morning - due to our late booking the night prior, and someone being ill. However, David fixed the problem by giving us an air conditioned dorm room to ourselves that night - when all we needed was peace and quiet. During our stay, the breakfast was quick (a rarity sometimes!!), and we were comfortable to hang out and talk with other travellers during the day. The rooms were clean, wifi excellent, and the showers hot (but a mosquito repellent is recommended!) On the second occasion, we had a ten hour lay over in the city - in between two overnight buses - and also after inquiring at a few other places in town and getting rude responses, the other receptionist accommodated us with two clean beds and all the facilities for just 8 hours during the day, for a very reasonable rate.
Thank you Sihome Backpackers Garden,
we really appreciated your warm hospitality, and you saved us on a hot day!!!!
