Don Chan runs a shuttle bus to the city centre. one hour's notice is required to book the bus. Alternatively you will need to walk the equivalent of several blocks
to the main street and hail a tuk tuk or taxi.
During my group stay there was a large delegation at the hotel. Rooms were not ready by 3pm, not ready when we returned at 6.30pm. The keys became available at various times, the last one being 7.10pm. Reception for check out was not good, bills were charged to the wrong rooms and processing delays were lengthy.
in addition the restaurants were closed for delegates use only except for ground floor restaurant. Breakfast was also served here, very busy and not easy to get a table.
Rooms were nice but nowhere near a 5 star rating, remembering this is not a developed country so expectations really should be lower. Rooms on the river side of the hotel should have nice views.
I would not stay here again, there are some lovely smaller hotels along the riverfront within walking distance to the markets, many choice of restaurants and a wonderful sunset to enjoy every afternoon.

Room Tip: High up with Mekong views.

Nice attentive staff, but overall old property with sub standard room AC control and the worst WiFi in my travels in Asia.

If you want these qualities stay here. Otherwise, it's a very large property with nice amenities but those above are required to insure a higher review rating from me.

Room Tip: Upgrade not necessary as they need to upgrade AC and WiFi to insure a better overall stay experience

Spacious and sufficiently furnished rooms expected of a 5 star hotel overlooking the scenic Mekong river. Huge bright lobby with decent breakfast spread. Design and decor are a bit dated with heavy wood furniture and finishings everywhere but this is expected in this country. You need to walk a short distance from the hotel to get to the nearest eatery. Room lightings are a bit too dim though. Shower head holders and bathrobe hangers may not always work or missing. Small swimming pool and very old squeaking gym equipment

My GF and I came over for a visa hop last week and decided on something special. The hotel is on the Riverfront but far from the action. The rooms are large enough for most and I'm a big fella. Breakfast buffet had something to make us both smile. The staff didn't understand much English which surprised us but we managed. There's alot a new construction so plenty of trucks passing by. Nearby Q Bar was a good watering hole with a friendly owner.
