This guesthouse is very conveniently located close to the city centre. There is a very nice central courtyard which is a great place to relax. The room was very comfortable, clean and with a comfortable bed. It'd an easy walk to plenty of restaurants along the Mekong river and the royal palace. The fountain (Nam Phou) just 100 from the guesthouse is great and changes colours at night. Highly recommended.

Where do I start? Staff were not inviting at all, they barely spoke to us or acknowleged us throughout our stay. Our 'triple' room was tiny and had a third bed squashed in. Our room was right next to a construction site (outside our window). The bathroom was falling apart all the handles are coming off the wall. The aircon shook everytime the construction was going on 6.30am to 5pm. I know this is not avoidable but also they were doing up the room below us and did not forewarn us about the construction. On our first day the wifi was not working, no one told us anything, also there was a sign flat down on the reception saying no electricity the next day (no one told us about that either). Linen is dirty looking and towels smell. The room smells like poo. Breakfast is the only ok thing, but get there by 8.30am if you want your choice. Also tuk tuk drivers lounged outside and ept intimidating us because we didn't want to pay their price. And on check out their exchanged rate was significatly higher that everywhere else. My advice if your going here there are plently of cheaper and better places to stay. And if you plan to go to laos go visit luang prabang instead not vientiane.

Great location near fountain, and relatively close to riverside. We hired bikes from a place near the fountain and had a great cycle ride to the Arc and the wat on on the money. Highly recommended.

The courtyard was good and breakfast pleasant.

Staff were helpful, provided map and answered queries. We were able to check in about an hour early and leave bags there while we waited.

Price quoted in US$ on Booking.com, but had to pay in Kip and was a fair bit more pricey that way. The hotel say this is Booking.coms fault as you cannot price in Kip on the site.

It is expensive compared to others in Laos and Thailand, especially for the basic facilities. But Vientiane in general seems quite expensive for accomodation. Room was one of the smallest we had on this holiday and lacking furniture including bedside table. We paid far less in other towns for far more.

Bus tickets from hotel were pricey (50k to Vang Vieng as opposed to 35k from the coffee shop across road)

Loads of mozzies about when we got to the room (over 10 of the blighters), we had a spray to zap them and all was ok.

So a pretty average hotel, but with a good location and decent staff just enough for me to give it the 4 dots/circles/whatever!

This "Guest House" is much more an hotel by size and quality. It is very central, at the end of the road is Vientiane's fountain (pretty at night) which has a number of food outlets around it, including The Scandinavian Bakery. The beach area is only a short walk away as are several good, but well priced, restaurants. Rooms and Lobby have free Wi-Fi. The staff speak good English and are very helpful. Standard double room 260,000 KIP includes breakfast which is good if a little limited in selection. There was no lift but help with luggage was on hand.
After passing through the main part of the hotel there is a really peaceful courtyard (also used as the breakfast area) that provided a welcome refuge from the inevitable noise of a city. There was no need to purchase anything to be able to use this area.
My room (403) was a clean generous double room with en-suite wet room with toilet and shower. TV. A/C. Fridge.

Room Tip: Avoid the front and, if you can manage stairs go for the fourth floor (ground floor is number 1)

Great location and the courtyard is the biggest plus of our trip through Laos and Thailand! Quiet, Quiet, Quiet!!! No bar sounds, no traffic sounds and very good free breakfast! The first night of killing mosquitoes in the room was tiresome, but that was pretty much the end to the Mosquitos!

Much of our trip to Vientiane, my parents and I looked to find a place that would satisfy my parents very stringent standards at a decent price. And for that very reason we switched between 4 different hotels in the span of 5 days! This seemed to be our final stop though.

Firstly, for the most part, due to the increasing construction work in the city central, most preceding places suffered noise pollution. Another criteria was cleanliness which had failed us two nights ago. Also to fit an odd number of people had proven to be a challenging task. Last but not least, due to mom's injuries we tried to avoid stairs as much as possible.

We had gotten a place opposite the garden area with a queen size and a single bed. So the issue with the numbers was then no more. And the price also seemed decent for 3 people. The room being on the ground floor meant no stairs at all. It was a clean room too but also had a bad mosquito problem. But nothing that couldn't be solved with a spray.

Room Tip: Try the rooms on the ground floor with a window facing the garden area. Ask and you shall be gran...

This guest house enjoys a very good location that is walking distance few main tourist attractions in town. Few Indian restaurant are also nearby. The staff are friendly, accommodating and able to speak reasonable English to be able to get the message across with little difficulty. However, on our first night, we found the room infested with mosquitoes. After we complained, the staff sprayed the room that helped!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor that has less mosquito problem.
