We stayed at Green Park by accident and we'd surely recommend this hotel for the convenient location within walking distance to the park, temple and city centre, flawless services, peaceful setting, large pool, sweet room...Good place to be pampered!

Stayed here for just one hight. Which was a shame - very nice accomodation with very well appointed rooms. Ours had a four poster bed and balcony which led straight out to the pool area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfat on the trerrace was exceptional - I will never forget Lao coffee. The bar was slightly on the expensive side . It had a regular shuttlebus which took about ten minutes to get into the centre of town

Room Tip: Get a ground floor poolside room away from reception

Stayed here during my last trip to Laos. The rooms as well as the public areas are very beautiful and of a high standard. The restaurant offers good Lao and Western food. It's nothing special, but perfect if you do want to have a quite evening at the hotel. Just like almost everywhere in Laos there was a free Wifi access in all rooms.
The only real downside for this hotel is the location. The Green Park is a bit outside of town.

So far I stayed here over a dozen times already. Every good things are immaculately maintained and service always the most pleasant.

They are becoming more popular each day and most of the weekend will be overbooked. Also rates are going up more than 50% since my first visit. I'm not complaining as they are still one of the best around.

what is worrisome is the construction of Trade Center which already started, it is still in the foundation work but heard this will take at least 4 years and they are starting the work just next to the hotel. It will be noisy and dusty which the hotel should consider preventive action of some sort, but the green park scene from the breakfast patio will be gone forever.

If you are going to spend a lot of day time at the hotel this is something to anticipate.

We had a three night stay at the green park and were not disapointed, beautifull surroundings, comfortable oom and great breakfast! The staff were very helpfull and courteous at all times. The complimentary shuttle was great but well needed as it was a good 10 minutes out of the town. My only criticism old be that th Green Park which the hotel is name after us no longer there, it us a major construction site building a huge development of shops, hotels and retail space. The breakfast / restaurant area looks directly on to this, diggers, concrete mixers. Whilst this was nOt a huge problem for us it may be for others especially at breakfast as its very noisy as dust and dirt blow over. Maybe the hotel needs to reevaluate thir prices during this time as I feel this building work will be king on for a few years

Stay here regularly (as with another Vientiane hotel) and find it a great oasis from the rest of Vientiane. I work in a wonderful garden guest house in Nong Khai and always enjoy popping over to Vientiane to stay at this hotel if possible. Problem is it is frequently full every time I want to make a last minute booking.

Nice sized rooms, a fantastic bathroom with a cool full length window as one wall. A decent selection of TV stations and comfortable sitting area.

I found the bar & coffee lounge area fantastic. It was quiet and a wonderful place to sit and have a Beer Lao or a great cup of Cafe laos. Service was proficient but not overly welcoming which was fine as I do need to be coddled. Getting upset because they did not recognize that by me making eye contact I wanted something....I usually get off my fat behind and politely ask them for another beer or coffee.

Great location easy walking distance into town..unless you find walking up 2 steps is difficult take the shuttle service. unless of course it does not leave exactly at the same time you want to immediately want to go into town. Sheesh maybe the hotel should get a private shuttle for every room to cater to each persons needs and wants...

If you want to go to Vientiane and are like me do not really have a love affair with the city but need to go there every couple of weeks or so then book into the this hotel and just chill for 3 or 4 nights.

A great hotel in the middle of a chaotic city.

Spent 2 nights at the Green Park at the beginning of our tour of Laos and it was an excellent introduction to a great country. We had a very pleasant room overlooking the gardens, comfy bed with a mosie net which was needed as there were quite a few in the room when we arrived. Not too much of a problem as there was a can of bug spray provided.
Breakfast was nice but I would have liked to have seen more local food on offer.
Location was good with the convince of the free shuttle bus into town.

As we found throughout Laos the staff were excellent, very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful
