“Nature hotel in the busy Vientiane”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2013

The hotel was good with its nature, still have traditional feeling of LAO, the design and also the garden. Room was OK, spacious, only the mosquitoes which are lot, need to spray everyday at anytime. The breakfast was OK with some options and changed everyday. The staff was friendly and helpful, the only problem with the staff only the English - language barrier which most of them can speak French but not speak English well. Location wise a bit far from the down town but they have the shuttle.

I liked this place a lot. Nice layout of the hotel with rooms on two levels surrounding ponds and pool. Service is very good and staff are verty attentive and helpful. Nice big bathroom with quality toiletries. Big comfortable and clean bed. Room is furnished nicely wth co0ordinating wooden furniture. There is a balcony/terrace for each room looking over the pool/ponds. Rooms have air con, safe, tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served in the separate building above the hotel reception area; you can eat inside or out. Choice was pretty good - western and Asian - nice breads, fruit, hot dishes and very tasty locally produced yoghurts. Overall a good relaxing choice for Vientiane.

Stayed there during 5 nights on a business trip. The hotel provides well appointed rooms, nice balinese style surroundings, big pool, fitness center, bar and restaurant. The service excellent and very friendly. In the entire property, wifi is available.
The hotel is just a 5 min drive from the city center.

The hotel grounds are very relaxing. Quite, and fragrant. the spa was closed while I was there because it is being redone. The room I had was enormous (two bedrooms, dining area/living area. very comfortable, but the downside is that it was a bit dark. I had a ground floor (there are two floors), and the windows look out on the rest of the grounds so you gotta keep the shades drawn for any privacy. Get a second floor room.

The bathrooms were memorable -- each has a window overlooking a walled in tree/garden (so, yes, it is still private) and gives you a sense that you are bathing outside.

For business purposes, this hotel fails miserably. The business center was actually an office used by a travel agent, I think (could be wrong). The photocopier spit out pages with lines down the middle. Really not a good place to stay if you are looking to do a lot of printing.

Restaurant food wasn't very good. It wasn't terrible, but pretty bland.

I'd stay here again.

Hotel itself is a bit outside the town. That is a downside. There are bikes available, and the town isn't really that far (only five minutes by car), but it's not ideal that you can't just stroll into town very easily. The counterpoint is that it's extremely quiet here, which was wonderful.

Room Tip: get a second floor room for more privacy

This hotel aims (and generally succeeds) at providing a peaceful oasis not far from the centre of Vientiane.
It is wonderfully simple: there are the rooms, the pool and the restaurant/bar - and that is it. (The spa was closed for renovation during our visit, but I doubt that we would have used it anyway.)
The rooms are clean, elegant and comfortable. One or two stray mosquitoes may wander in, but nets are provided, aromatic coils are burnt outside the door and we did not find them a problem.
We thought the pool was charming; a straightforward rectangle into which blossom and leaves occasionally dropped; it felt like the pool of a private house, rather than a hotel.
We enjoyed the restaurant (which caters both for those who wish to experiment with Lao cuisine and for those who don't) and the breakfast buffet was a hit with the children.
Conveniently situated near the centre of the capital city, as the hotel is, there are inevitably limits to the carefully nurtured illusion of rural bliss: the rooms look inwards, rather than outwards, and the view from the restaurant is of a somewhat scrubby area with a fair bit of ongoing development.
The service was very good indeed, both friendly and willing.

Altogether we spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Located a little away from the hustle and bustle of central Vientiane, it is never the less a lovely place to stay. Our room was located on the ground floor, facing the pool and it had a lovely terrace. The bathroom was quite large BUT because the bath tub was a bit elevated, it had step to access it and thus rendering it somewhat dangerous and slippery. The sink console did not provide much space to put our toiletries and also it lacked hooks to hang hand towels and other towels.
The garden and pool area of the hotel are lovely and people are friendly, polite and helpful.

There is a free shuttle bus to take you downtown every hour and you just have to book with the reception the time when you wish to return to the hotel…useful if you do not wish to take the local transportation (taxis, tuk tuk or even bikes). The hotel has bikes for rental as well.

The breakfast spread was quite good and the place is spotless. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel so we cannot comment on the quality of food but they did have functions when we arrived the first night and the spread of finger foods at the bar for that particular event, looked very enticing!

Room Tip: rooms on ground floor facing the pool are lovely...do not know whether all rooms are supplied with b...

Lovely hotel less than 10 mins from the centre by tuk tuk.
Pool and gardens gorgeous. Love the oil lamps all around in the evening.
Lovely room, great bath and shower with garden window, bit strange but very nice.
Step up to and into bath and shower might cause a problem for some.
Bed is one of the comfiest I have ever slept in.
Excellent breakfast and really attentive service.
Gorgeous gorgeous!
Quite a few Mosquitos around tho so spray needed. Big mall being built next door too, didn't disturb in any way but may change the vibe of Vientiane in general.
Would stay here over the more central hotels just for the pool and excellent rooms.
