“Food & Wine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014 via mobile

My first impression on the restaurant is very positive right from where I stepped in. The contemporary black & white decor with framed glass window panels is a refreshing change from old traditional Italian styled restaurants. Being experienced in Laos (past 15 years), I would not be expecting any high level service and little did I realized that I was greeted by the restaurant manager after being seated. Best of all is the authentic Italian food served up by the Italian owner & chef, Gerardo whom I first met last year at the nearby Aria restaurant. You would not be dissapointed here especially when they also have a fine selection of Italian wines. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a taste of Italy in Vientiane.

“Rip off”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

Visited twice on the first occasion I was charged 19000 kip for a bottle of water that could be purchased across the street for 3000 kip, I understand and accept that a business has to make a profit but this is excessive! The meal a very small portion of ravioli was just ok.
The second time I ordered a pizza with extra topping lucky I ordered the extra because if I hadn't it would just have been tomato sauce and cheese.
Whilst the food was ok it just felt like I was being ripped off.

“ Being cheated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

In case you like being cheated than this is the ideal place to go. For 4 very, very tiny thin slices of truffle (far less than 1 gram) this restayrant is easy charging U$ 36 for that.

“You can't go past the Ravioli”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

A little taste of western culture if you are feeling homesick in Vientiane. The restaurant has modern decor a friendly, energetic chef co-ordinating the kitchen and the front of house. There is a good selection of Italian wines available to compliment your meal. We were unsure what would best suit out meal and chef was only too happy to offer some great suggestions.

We visited this restaurant a few times while in Vientiane and our pick from the items we tried on the menu was the wild boer ravioli with truffle. Simply perfect.

“A dash of upmarket in Vtne”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

Food is delicious and different - quite authentic modern Italian. However by Laos standards it is VERY expensive. it's probably worth it if you want to celebrate a special occasion.
