This my first visit to any place outside india. After got freedom almost after 10 years since india got freedom, the development of kualalumpur (malaysia) is wonderful.Like any other metropolice kuala is having all facilities includes good hotels, big malls etc.Twin tower is great attraction of kuala. You can shop here in twin towers or can go to Bentang market for cheap shopping. You can visit k.L. tower for dinner which is second higest building in kuala.Travelling in mono rail is good experience like you enjyoing roller coaster.

“Coolest place in Asia”
Reviewed 12 June 2010

We went for 1 week to Malaysia, there we first decided to stay in one of the islands and we chose Langkawi, very beautiful, not commercialized at all, still green and not too crowded, went on a boat trip to do snorkling, crystal clear water, could see fishes and got a chance to feed baby sharks, it was amazing. local people are very warm. Then stayed 2 days in KL, again the people and local food is very good. we tried all the street side restaurants there. Shopping is so good, u dont wanna stop spending. Went for different type of massages.Overall it was a fun trip.

“When will the country ever learn....”
Reviewed 10 January 2010

I have been to Malaysia a few times now and always come back with such a sense of profound disappointment. Here is a country blessed with beautiful landscapes, lush jungles, wonderful beaches and good weather. No matter where I go, though, be it Pangkor, Tioman, Mersing, Lumut, Tana Ratah or Melakka, I find massive ecological damage through logging, strip mining, plantations, unchecked construction, and rubbish.

Now while I do understand that 30 million people need to live and work and the country can't be a traveller's recreation park, I do not understand a few other things.

Why has practically every square kilometer from Johor Bahru to North of Kuala Lumpur been turned into monoculture palm oil land?

Why are the hills and highlands still being logged and stripped of resources so badly?

Why can't the villages and towns grow orderly and sensibly?

Why is there rubbish on every beach, in every ditch, in every stream and forest and town?

When I asked some locals lately about the rubbish, the answers ranged from 'I don't really know' to 'The monkeys do it' to 'It is the Malaysian way'....

The Malaysian Way? You must be kidding....

I have made my decision: my tourist and business dollars are no longer going to Malaysia. I wish the warm and friendly people I met there along the way good luck for their future. They certainly need all they can get once their forests have disappeared, the tourist no longer come to the trashy islands, the last hill has been mined for ore or granite and the inevitable fungus has destroyed their last patch of plantation palm trees.

“Beware of crimes against tourist”
Reviewed 7 September 2009

When you are in Malaysia especially in big cities e.g. Kaula Lampur be watchful of Motorcycle gangs that prey on toursits. General mode is to side swipe tourists at high speed and snatch thier handbags or Video Camera.. It happened to us in front of a 5 star hotel and please do not put your passport or valuables in the handbags and save youself lots of grief.
