We stayed at this hotel both before and after a three week trek around Mongolia. We liked it before the trek but REALLY appreciated it after the trek! Soft beds, hot water, decent wifi, excellent breakfast - bliss!

But the real selling point for this place is its management. Not only do all the staff speak excellent english but they bend over backwards to make your stay pleasant. We had a lot of confusion (on our end) over how many rooms and how many nights we were going to be staying but instead of getting irate they just kept on coming up with solutions for our problems. This kind of can do attitude continued during our stay - they stored our bags, organized transportation and in everyday made our trip more pleasant.

The location is excellent, minutes from Sukabatar Square - do stop into the small Museum of Political Persecution right across the street, it is surprisingly moving.

Much better hotel than Coporate and especially the nasty Bayangol. Rooms have alway been clean and always had hot water but WiFi is either not working or so weak it is unusable. I mentioned this to the manager my last stay but don't know if he really got my message. I will check before my next stay to see if it has been upgraded. If not, I will stay at Blue Sky or Ramada.

Room Tip: Deluxe Rooms are the best. They have livingroom area and kitchen with separate bedroom.

Springs Hotel was recommended by our tour group Selena travels. It is located within walking distance to Sukhbaatar's Square and the museums.

The rooms are a decent size and very clean.

We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included downstairs at the Springs Restaurant. Make sure you ask the lady to cook you an omellate in the morning! They are delicious.

The staff are very friendly and speak good English
and very helpful. There is free wifi on all floors and even in the restaurant.

Cable news channels on the tv as well as local channels.

The Springs Hotel is tucked away slightly off the main hustle & bustle of central Ulaanbaatar, but in reality only about 300 to 400 m from all the action.

Rooms are very tidy & comfortable. The mattress is a tad firm - for those who want a soft bed, this is not the ideal location - but everything else is very good. It is possible to request a room with a small refrigerator is that is necessary - given the warmth of the central heating if a traveller is carrying perishable items or medicines that should be kept cool - that may be a useful request.

Staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Reception staff are very good. House keeping staff are also very efficient.

Breakfast is quite adequate with cereals, fruit, toast, heated meats and vegetables and eggs to your choosing, supported by coffee, tea and juice.

Being only a few minutes walk from the business area of UB, this is an ideally located hotel offering a quiet and relaxing stay with only a short (but life threatening) walk across the roads to be into the UB centre.

DEFINITELY good value and comfort.

Room Tip: There are a standard basic and business level rooms. For a few dollars more it may be an option to investigate the merits of upgrading.

Stayed for half dozen nights over a two week period - kind of a hidden place and not much to admire from outside - but clean rooms - great breakfast (can have eggs fixed any way you want but do have to ask) - friendly staff though few spoke English - loved the location just short distance to main streets - Korean restaurant on second floor where we treated our Mongolian guide and driver was highly complemented by these locals - can definitely recommend
