I planned to pop into Ulaan Baatar for a couple of days. Hotels in this city are not cheap, as I found out when booking a hotel. For $130 for two nights, it was ok. I found this hotel to be pretty centrally located - five minutes walk to the central plaza. Large room, comfortably appointed, clean bathroom, security box in room, cable tv. Can't complain. Most staff speaks poor English, but we could communicate. Would recommend.

Clean spacious rooms, though a little run down. The staff was nice an very accommodating. The breakfast was good as it had a nice variety. One thing I didn't like was that the girl in charge of breakfast would like to spend her time on the couch by the front desk watching TV and you had to go tell her if something was out. When you only have 1 pot of coffee (Mr. Coffee size) it doesn't take much for a few guests to empty it. So if you’re going to let her watch TV just get a bigger pot and it's all good.

The bottom line is this is a good deal for the money. We stayed there twice, 3 nights on the way in and 1 night on the way out. They let us put our suit cases in storage for over a week as we toured Mongolia a little lighter. 15 Minute walk from the square and the action for shopping, parting and sightseeing or whatever interests you. Wi-Fi was solid and reliable. Airport shuttle service (competitively priced). I will stay there the next time I am in town.

Room Tip: 4 floors and no lift so if you don't like stairs ask for a lower room. I need the excersize so 3...

Suppose to be new hotel in UB but seems falling apart already... Nice room, clean (ish) toilet.. Cable tv, wifi. Located about 10-15 min walk to the Sukhbaatar Sq. Quiet area. Behind hospital. Just of the Enkhtaivan ave. Restaurant downstairs on the ground floor. Friendly staff thought didn't speak much English, but do try to help. Still think was good hotel to stay in but 70 USD too much.

I had a double room on the 4th floor, which was of a decent size. At least one of the reception staff spoke very good English.
The hotel was clean and for the price, in comparison to other hotels in the city, it was not bad value for money. The bed was a double size as requested and reasonably comfortable (for a hotel bed in Asia). The room was reasonably warm albeit with slight water noise through the radiator and an extra duvet was provided. Requested and was given a non-smoking room that did not smell of smoke.

Car park was available as stated, breakfast room looked neat although was not up early enough to take breakfast. The prices of the minibar and restaurant menu seemed ok although did not utilise this service. There is also a sauna but i did not use it so cannot comment.
Free cabled high speed internet provided as advertised but wi-fi was not strong and was only available in certain corners of the room.

The location is not bad; UB is not as big as people would have you think and hotel is less than 10 minutes gentle walk to Sukhbaatar square. The hotel is located about 2 streets (tiny blocks) back from Peace Avenue.
Complimentary toiletries were provided - toothbrush, shower gel/shampoo, comb. 2 bath robes provided with clean towels.
Although the shower was hot, my first morning ended up in a half-shower as the water ran out mid-shower. Odd experience as most people will complain about pressure or temperature; this just stopped!

My room on the top floor was missing a latch on the window (see photo). One would not have been able to use the balcony if one intended to as it seemed to have not been accessed since construction finished. This didn't bother me personally. A socket fitting was loose in my room and would have been dangerous if one had kids in the room; I'm sure this is not common to most rooms but evidence of lack of attention top detail by management.

Booking.com description stated work desk but my room did not have this.

The first thing that I appreciated was the fact that they informed us a few days in advance that the hot water was shut off in that part of the city and that we could cancel for free. Something one would expect, but not always the case in developing countries (or even in rich ones at times.) We accepted anyways. The hotel was pretty central, and they put us on the top floor. The size would be considered a suite, with a separate bedroom. Not bad for the price we paid. (around €80). Free wifi and breakfast too! Service was a bit off, due to the language barrier, but they definitely get an "A" for effort. Building was quite new, but looked a bit worn already (poor building materials). The other plus is that they are near the main city bus stop for buses from the airport. (I strongly recommend the local bus. Just walk outside the airport to the road in front and stop at the designated bus stop - there is a sign that is hard to see but look to where people are waiting. Quite cheap.)
Breakfast was very limited, but didn't bother us in particular. (Cereals, fruit, toast)

We arrived from Russia on the Trans-Mongolia at 6:30am and got a taxi - only 5 minutes - to the hotel at 7:00 and we were able to check-in. This was such a relief and a great start to our stay. This was only because they were not at 100% capacity obviously.
We could only book 2 x Twins on-line, but once we arrived we easily arranged for a 3rd bed for one of our 3 children for only US$10.00 extra.
The hotel emailed us to offer a pick-up service from the train station, but we missed the email as we were on the train already.
Breakfast is included and was great, especially after 6 days of noodles on the train!!!
The hotel rooms are a little run down (patchy carpet low water pressure), but the friendly staff their enthusiasm and smiles make up for it.
The sheets, towels, bathrooms and hotel rooms are all neat and clean.
Close to the main square and the Kaiser makes for a great stop-over when crossing from Moscow to Beijing.
The rooms are large (another bonus after being in a train carriage for a week with 3 kids!!!)
My wife and I recommend this for anyone looking for value for money at only $US 75.00 per room including a hot breakfast.

Room Tip: No elevator so try and get on the first floor!!!

the location is OK, 10/15 walks from the central bars. Rooms are spacious, clean and bathroom nice. Some extra are very welcome (bathrobe, slippers). Not stayed long, but would have stayed more with pleasure.

Room Tip: don't forget to mention if you want separate/double beds or not
