The center of activity in the city, beautiful statues to see and enjoy, also there was a great free concert

How can you go to Ulaanbaatar and not go here. This is City Center. It’s historical and you see new world in the making in front of your eyes.

The square fronts the new Parliament building. Mostly there’s not much there, including the gangs of pickpockets most guide books warn about. On the edge of the square is the very good Mongolian museum. You can hire bikes and little electric cars for kids. We had no hassle there, apart from one chap trying to sell us a painting and we walked through it lots of times as our hotel was just off the square. There was a market selling tat for kids one day

A must see when traveling to Ulaanbaatar. If you arrive here early in the morning you can beat the crowds and grab a good photo or 2.
