A unique and very cultural place just adjacent to neighbouring modern Islamabad. Basically an eatery place where you would find numerous outlets / restaurants though my personal favourite is Des Pardes; Traditional Pakistani Food at reasonable cost, must try is their BBQ Plater which is delicious and sumptuous followed by fried minced meat. Brunch on Sunday is also pretty good and worth a try and best thing is it goes till late afternoon. Within its compound is a Sikh Gordwara and also a gallery where very old and unique photographs have been displayed.
Apart from Des Pardes, Chatkhara is also nice and right on the road but is a small place and its fun only once the crowd around you is educated and cultured. At times Chatkhara has an absurd crowd thereby making the environment unfriendly for the couples and families.
Have seen Polo Lounge but have never tried it.
Overall Saidpur Village is a MUST visit place in Islamabad. The village facing the restaurants has been very colourfully painted and that adds to the ambience. Must take along a camera. Recommended to be visited during day time in Winters and in summers in the evenings.
