It's a budget hotel, situated in a great part of town - Galle Road. The lobby area looks fresh and attractive; the rooms are a bit run down and shabby. There's no in house restaurant or room service, only a bar menu is kept in the rooms. There is a Korean restaurant, but the board is in Korean, and it's kept sort of secret.
The area is good - lots of restaurants nearby, and Galle Face Green just a 5 minute ride away. The room we got had a narrow window facing a wall, but the room itself was quite comfortable. Had a large TV (which we didn't try), and a small refrigerator.
The staff was mostly nice to us. We had an early morning flight on the third day, and the receptionist made several phone calls till he could get a station wagon for us. One of the receptionists was a bit supercilious and unpleasant, but there's a rotten apple in every barrel.
There's free wi-fi in the public area, but you need to pay for it in the rooms. There's free coffee at the reception area, but often it's old, and once we saw a lizard running over the machine. As I said, a mixed experience.
