We stayed one night on the first night we arrived in Colombo. Staff were accommodating and helpful. On the next day, we were actually booked a train to Anuradhapura but we received a call that the train service is cancelled due to strike action. We asked the hotel managers that what we can do and so they gave us some options to get there. They were nice to check all the information for us and even sent and informed a tuktuk driver to bring and show us the right bus to take to Anuradhapura. Overall, we got a really good room and from the room, we can looked out to the ocean and train. Once again, thank you, The Ocean Front for your hospitality!!

We had a couple of nights at The Ocean Front at the end of our two week visit to Sri Lanka so we could explore Colombo. We loved having our own balcony and views over the ocean, and the rooms are modern, well fitted out, and comfortable. And the staff were absolutely wonderful. They couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. Great food (try the roti for breakfast) available too.
The location is good, close to the historic area and shopping. Easy to grab a tuk tuk from just outside the door.
We liked watching real Colombo just outside with a constant parade of people, trains and fishermen.
A fitting finale to a fantastic trip to Sri Lanka. Recommended.

We stayed one night before leaving to the airport. The service and standard was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpfull. We got a really good room, and enjoyed it a lot. I will for sure recommend it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night only. We didn't arrive until after midnight, and left to explore Colombo the next morning, however I had a great overall impression. The rooms were large and clean, and the staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel seemed to be in a good location, and they were more than happy to store our luggage for the day. The only downside was that we had booked a room with a king bed, but we were given a room with two king singles. However, we were too tired to care and it wasn't a big deal for only one night.

Ocean View it is from the dining room and also from the Roof top, in the other rooms it is quite often spoilt by the wrecked buildings spoiling the view. Why other rooms - the owners bent over back wards to try and find me a quieter room in this 6 room establishment, but unfortunately, in the end after two days there, and two quite sleepless nights it was time to move out. The train running past the Ocean View quite often felt as if it was running through your room. If the owners invested in double glazing with 8 mm glass, maybe this only fault with Ocean View could be fixed. The staff, the management, all of them were wonderful and friendly, could not fault them, hope that they somehow fix the noise problem to make this an ideal small hideaway.
