The hostel is very nice and clean. The rooms were big with good air condition. Toilets and bathrooms in general are clean and there is good hot showers. The owner and his family are very helpful and very polite and calm. They will always try their best to help you out and answer your questions. The market is around 10 minutes walk, money exchange in a bank is around 5 minutes, and mini market is just a minute from the hostel. I would highly recommend this hostel for all the backpackers.

Room tip: Upstairs, 8 bed room with toilet inside.

Lovely modern and well equipped hostel filled with an asortment of motorcyclists etc. Plenty of communal space and the dorm beds were were comfortable and relatively spacious. Receptionist was also very helpful in reccomending taxis etc. Altogether a comfortable place to stay though the location seems to be a little remote (though still walking distance to the city centre).

What a wonderful backpackers place!

This hostel is located in a huge, beautiful mansion, on the outskirts of Dushanbe. The main bazar is at walking distance, and it is very easy to reach dowtown as there are many buses and shared taxis passing by.

With its very high ceilings and large common areas (including a living room with sofas and TV, a big garden with lots of space and sitting areas, and a great kitchen), it has a truly unique, homey, atmosphere which brings together dozens of travelers of all kinds.

The owner and his son speak perfect English and are incredibly kind and patient.

Only drawback is that with so many crazy people in one place at the same time, it can get very noisy and messy, so I would not recommend it to travelers looking for quiet time. For anyone else, it is a must-stay!

Let this family run hostel make you feel right at home. After travelling for over a year and a half and staying in many a hostel, I have to say the Green House Hostel in Dushanbe is by far the best of the bunch. The atmoshphere is amazing, extremelly clean facilities, huge well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a short walk to the local bazar and city centre, the list goes on, and on, and on. I can and will reccomend this hostel to anyone and everyone I meet who will be visiting Dushanbe. There really is no other choice.

Room tip: You can't lose.

Green House Hostel has everything a traveller needs: spacious dorms, a large and well-equipped kitchen, and nice common areas inside and outside. It's a great place to meet other travellers and exchange information about the less-travelled roads in Tajikistan as well as all the visa issues travellers in Dushanbe might encounter :)

I highly recommend this hostel, it is the best-value (and most comfortable) bed I've had in all of Central Asia.
