Visited with a 5-year-old on a March Monday, the day when the restaurant is closed but it is still possible to visit the tower for the same USD 15 fee, payable in sum (the 5-year.old was free). Passport is mandatory and the security check is very thorough, you are not allowed to bring bags, cameras or even USB sticks (!), although mobile phones with cameras are fine and free lockers are available. There were no other visitors, we were guided by a very friendly English-speaking young man through the small "exhibition" of TV towers worldwide and after a brief round upstairs were left alone up in the empty tower to enjoy the views and return at our own convenience.
