“The visit is an experience by itself”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Visited with a 5-year-old on a March Monday, the day when the restaurant is closed but it is still possible to visit the tower for the same USD 15 fee, payable in sum (the 5-year.old was free). Passport is mandatory and the security check is very thorough, you are not allowed to bring bags, cameras or even USB sticks (!), although mobile phones with cameras are fine and free lockers are available. There were no other visitors, we were guided by a very friendly English-speaking young man through the small "exhibition" of TV towers worldwide and after a brief round upstairs were left alone up in the empty tower to enjoy the views and return at our own convenience.

“It is a TV-tower...”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

Not much to see really. It is a TV tower. Though it's status does enhance a bit since it is not allowed to take pictures of it. There is a restaurant in the tower and the view is supposed to be good. I did not go there as the entrance fee had increased by 10 times and it was quite steep.

“Imposing views”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

15 USD per person takes you up to get a fabulous view of nearly the whole city of Tashkent. Please note you are NOT allowed to take up any camera or any video camera. If you are satisfied with the shots from your mobile, then go up.

“Hussle and expensive - but the sowjet deco and the turning viewing compensate”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

the best was the old, red-plastic deco of the bar and the ceiling
the view is poor, not much to see, really,
its a big hassle to make your way in, no cameras, lots of checks, passport required, as the feeling is that the TV tower is target Nr 1 of any ever to happen Islamic terrorist attack.
The State is schizophrenic re Islamic attacks and you need to understand this, when you go, then its an ok attraction.
