Also,it has a good connecton to Taksim Square, and other attractions...metro station is 5 min walking from the hotel. Rooms are clean, towels were changed every day, variety of food, which is great, the restaurant is on the top of the hotel. There is wifi is in every room, and lobby. All in all,we are satisfied :)

In late April, I have visited Istanbul, as a tourist, and stayed with the group at Yaztur Hotel is located in the European part; surrounded by many shops ideal for lady for spending the money .The hotel is nothing special but the staff is friendly, very clean rooms, good food, which you may occasionally share with seagulls which land on the open windows of restaurant. About 50% of Istanbul sights from this hotel you may visit by public transport or by foot and thus avoid some of the worst traffic crash I have ever seen. For short visit to Istanbul this hotel is recommended. One comment more: Istanbul is a city that you MUST visit.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms toward the street or rooms on 4,5 or 6 floor

Hotel is in great part of Istanbul. It peacefull at night, by day is full with boutiques, anf street sellers... Great place to get a part of real Istanbul. Grand bazar is 300 meters from hotel, Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, and all of their facellitys and museums are in 15 min of walking from hotel.
Next, about hotel... It clean, food is good, and planty of it... Recepcionist, one is great, speaks english, and very good with guests... But, other one, worst that I have evers seen... There is wifi on every floor in hotel, on the roof is restoraunt... Not the best wiew on Istanbul, but it's ok...Room are small, classic hotel room, with bathroom, TV, and fridge...
All of it, its not bad... If you comming to this hotel from Ataturk, get a taxi... You'llnever find it on your own... ;)

We spent four days in this hotel in late October 2012th. First we got a room that actually has no windows (actualy has window into the ventilation shaft size of one square meter, without any light from outside). After we complained, the receptionist (who does not know any language other than Turkish) is barely agreed and gave us another room that was hardly better than the first.
The room was sufficiently clean, especially the toilet which had no hot water. The next day we complained again, then the repairman came and fixed the problem, so we had a hot water for nextg 3 days. The air in the room was stuffy and the window opening was not recommended because it is right in front of the window there are several air conditioners.
The positive side is very good and comfortable mattress, quiet, so we had good quality sleep. Breakfast was also good, and the dining room is located on the top floor, very tidy with a beautiful view.
It is possible that we are one of the few guests who had the misfortune to get a lower room, because the other guests did not complain, in fact they were very satisfied.

Room Tip: ask for rooms on higher floors

Yaztur hotel is situated in Laleli district, 3-4 tram stations away from Sultanahmen area. The positive side is the location – the hotel is very close to tram station and near to old city center, the negative - in this area a lot of foreigners are coming for wholesale and it is really crowded and nosy. The hotel is 3 star, but it is better not to expect anything special, just bed and breakfast. Actually the hotel is clean, the breakfast is decent, but the same every day. You can communicate with hotel staff in Turkish or if you a lucky in poor Russian and be prepared most of the locals don’t speak English. Overall experience is the hotel is not so bad, but you can choose something better for sure. I paid 70 euro per night for mid of May and pricewise is OK, because the hotels in Istanbul keeps very high rates. For my next visit in Istanbul I would prefer to stay at Sultanahmed. Definitively I have to pay extra 15-20 euro per night but it is cleaner and away from the street sellers.

Room Tip: For the first night I was accommodated in a room next to the elevator and I couldn't sleep at al...
