We stayed at this charming hotel for several nights, and were very impressed by the excellent service. The staff were truly hospitable, and we had a great experience.

Our stay at the hotel was broken into two segments (when we first arrived in Turkey, and again before we left). When leaving the first time around, we had to leave the hotel at around 4 in the morning in order to catch a flight to central Anatolia. Much to our surprise, the hotel staff had prepared breakfast for us, along with piping hot tea. In addition, we left one of our suitcases at the hotel, and this was already placed in our room when we returned. Further, I note that we forgot to lock the suitcase before we left. Although it contained a valuable laptop, we were not in the slightest concerned, and for good reason.

In short, we have never experienced the level of service that we enjoyed at Best Point, and would gladly return on any future visit.

i am not sure where to begin. this small and friendly hotel, located on a quiet side street in the Sultanahmet, is exceptional in every way. the room was immaculate. one can say it was small, but definitely not small by european standards as there was plenty of walking space and a little armchair and a table in our room (we booked a standard room on the third floor). both the bathroom and the room appeared to be newly renovated. upon arrival to the hotel (the staff arranged pickup for us at the airport), we were greeted with tea, coffee and little cakes while we filled out the paperwork. our bags were carried up the stairs (yes, they are steep. and no there is not an elevator. but i wouldn't let this prevent you from staying here. i found the steep stairs just part of the charm. i am six months pregnant and i just took breaks between each of the flight of stairs.). when we arrived in our room we found a bowl of turkish candies on the bed. and later that evening when returning from some sightseeing and dinner, we found a plate of fresh fruit waiting for us in the room. the staff are exceptionally friendly. and you truly get the impression that nothing is too much to ask of them. incredibly service minded. your happiness and comfort level is their top priority. the breakfast buffet is in the basement of the building. but don't miss the opportunity to have your plates brought up to the large roof terrace, with views over the marmara sea and the blue mosque. a lovely way to start your day. the buffet is a large selection of meats, cheese, jams and spreads, yogurt, milk, cereal, breads and sweets. omelets can be made to order, no extra charge. and for a small fee you can get freshly squeezed orange or carrot juice. every afternoon/early evening, there are complimentary tea, coffee and sweets in the lobby. there is an internet station in the lobby, as well. though, we were traveling with a laptop and found the wireless connection to be outstanding. with a bit of help from the staff, we connected immediately and without problem throughout the trip. there is a safe in the room, though it is quite small (so only truly teany tiny travel computers will fit in this). on our last evening in istanbul, we came back to our room to find a plate of fresh fruit waiting for us, along with a small, but quite elaborate, chocolate cake. and of course, more turkish candies. it was such a lovely surprise and nice little goodbye from the hotel. such small gestures, truly were a welcome. and unlike any service my husband and i have ever had (and we travel quite a bit). i can't say enough good things about the hospitality of the staff.

this was our first trip to istanbul and we found the neighborhood to be an outstanding starting part for the trip. it is far enough away from the tourist ghetto. and you have some great restaurants nearby (just weed them out from the bad ones!). when we return to istanbul after the baby is born (we liked it that much!) we will definitely stay at the best point hotel.

If you ever wanted to visit Istanbul, just give a call to the managers Fatih and Emreh of Best Point Hotel where you will not regret. Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time with our stay in this hotel for 4 days and both managers made sure our trip to be a memorable one from the time we were picked up from the airport to the day we left. With the on time pick ups from the airport, clean rooms, large breakfast, evening tea and coffea, and complimentary desserts , just added more glow to our stay here. The ever helping staffs also advised us well on best places to eat , visit, shop and clubbing and even Turkish baths with free pick ups and drop offs! As all the major attractions within minutes away on foot/tram ,I thoroughly recommend this Best Point hotel to anybody who wants to have a great time in Istanbul.

My partner and I spent two weeks at the best Point Hotel in Istanbul. Everything about our stay was delightful. The room was clean and well appointed, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, and my partner and I were made to feel at home from beginning to end. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul for the first time. When my partner arrived in Istanbul unexpectedly a couple of days early, Jay arranged a room for him and a driver to meet him at the airport within minutes of him landing. Some good things to note: Hotel provides wireless in the rooms and access to a laptop with internet in the lobby. Breakfast is huge and has both cold and hot items (omelet’s cooked to order). The hotel staff always had snacks and tea laid out in the afternoon and evening. One night after coming home late from a night out, they even brought sandwiches up to our room. Hotel provides transportation to and from the Airport. Thank you to Jay and your staff for a lovely stay.

In everyway, "Jay" and his staff provided service as good as any I have received in any hotel, regarldess of its star rating. They understand that ratings on sites such as Tripadvisor are vitally important to their success. Their level of service and attention to detail should always earn them top ratings!

The room was a little on the small size when compared to the average American hotel, but the space was well utilized, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The quality of the furnishing, the craftsmaship of the Ottoman woodwork, and the bed clothing were top notch. The bathroom was also well done. Travertine on the floor and walls, a nice enclosed shower, and plenty of water pressure (and hot water)!

The Best Point provides a nice breakfast buffet with the opportunity to take your plate to the rooftop terrace overlooking the Bosporous. It was a great way to start the day.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us for two reasons. First, it was an easy 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque/Aya Sophia, the Hippodrome, and on to the tram that goes to the Grand Bazaar. Second, and probably more importantly, being in our 50's, the hotel was away from the cluster of youth/backpacker hotels to the North and was much more laid back and quiet.

What did we like the best? Where to start - the room or the staff? We actually don't have a complaint about either. What did we like least - perhaps the steep stairs but that is the only "bad" comment I can make and should not influence your decision to choose this hotel for you visit to Istanbul.
