Stayed recently for 5 nights in the Penthouse Suite. The Penthouse is worth every extra penny - the size, the sensational views, basically every good thing other reviews say. Staff were great, breakfast was great, and so on. The only thing is that we thought there would be a kitchen in the room as advertised, and that the word 'suite' meant multiple rooms. This was a fantastic over-sized bedroom and bathroom with it's own private balcony, but not 'suite' status.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in April. We had a junior suite on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the Bosporus and the old city. The views from the room were stunning especially at dusk when the Hagia Sofia and the blue Mosque would be lit up. The hotel staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. Breakfast can be had in the foyer downstairs or in your room. Each day they leave chocolate muffins in the room. The room we had was very large and comfortableand having the balcony overlooking Istanbul was just magic. It is conveniently placed with the tram at the bottom of the hill about 200m from the hotel.[ It is a steep hill .] It is also about a 15 minute walk up to Taksim square. Great boutique hotel in Istanbul

Room Tip: Go for the Junior suite on the top floor. There are two of them.

The hotel is located in a great location, very accessible by tram to all the sites. You can even walk to them, it's not that far. Although bring your hiking boots because it is situated on top of a steep hill that can be an intense, albeit brief, workout. The rooms were very spacious and quite modern. But the one thing that stood out about this hotel was the service. The staff were super friendly and helped us with everything under the sun. We barely had to lift a finger. Thanks to Amre and his staff!

We and friends booked out the whole hotel for five nights as part of a birthday celebration, and absolutely loved the hotel and its friendly, considerate staff. Emrah at reception was a notable stand-out. The hotel is beautiful inside, with knock-out views from the fifth and sixth floors. It is close to all the action in Beyoglu, an easy 15min tram ride from the bottom of the road to Sultanahmet, and a short drive to Ortokoy and its clubs. As everyone mentions, it is on a nasty hill from the river end but we mostly used cabs if going in that direction. Given how expensive some hotels in Istanbul are, the Witt is unequaled for value-for-money.
It is quite close to a minaret and the 4.30am calls to prayer weren't appreciated, but I think that's common to much of central Istanbul.

Room Tip: Executive penthouse is amazing but no kitchen. All other rooms are the same, but the rooms on the 5...

Great place, clean and very friendly, willing to go the extra mile. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Two downsides, no pool and if coming from the river side then a 200m hill to climb up. However don't let either of these put you off, as the rest of the offering easily made up for these.

Incredible views from the penthouse over the city.

The hotel is beautiful with excellent location, a few minutes walk from Tazim Square. The best thing about Witt is the service from ALL the staff, especially Emruh. We absolutely love the gourmet breakfast buffet with the best quality of food and of course the service and the view from the lounge. This is the jewel absolute jewel of Istanbul.

Witt Istanbul Suites has an excellent location within walking distance from Istanbul's business district, Istanbul Modern museum and the buzzing bars and boutiques of both Beyoglu and Cihangir. All 15 suites span a generous 60m2. They are popular for long-stay guests as each has a Carrera marble-clad kitchenette with microwave, fridge and Nespresso machine. The super-cool beds with curved headboards and the laptop desks have been especially designed for Witt Istanbul Suites by Autoban. Sheets and towels were also commissioned from Denizli, a famous purveyor of Turkish linen. Cable TV, an excellent DVD collection, ipod docks and a welcome gift of multi-coloured macaroons are indulgent touches. But it's the bathrooms that make these suites really special. The ergonomic Corian sinks with pebble-shaped handles and the cluster of shower-heads that create a cocoon of misty hot water are all from designer Ross Lovegrove's Istanbul collection from Vitra. ... more   less
