There are two aspects of Loti in this review. At street level, Loti cafe offers a cover-all menu with well presented and prepared dishes for every hour of the day, from breakfast to supper and later. We had brunch, which was excellent, not just because of the food, but the outstanding service; professional, punctilious, prompt, while never obtrusive. My wife requested a couple of items not on the vast menu which, after brief explanation, were promptly delivered, consumed and pronounced to be excellent. Result. After 11.am, we might have opted instead for the Loti rooftop, which offers what must be one of the finest vistas in the city. From here, you can look down across the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet) to the Bosphorus, its many boats and their creamy wakes against the blue of the sea. We returned for a late nightcap, and the view was no less impressive at night. The lunching and dining menu up top is less varied than street side, and has a more international than Turkish flavour to it. The choice is yours.
