From the moment we arrived we were made more than welcome by Deniz and all of his helpful staff.
Villa Sphendone Suites are literally five minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Hippodrome and not much further from a major tram route., and although the route is uphill we had no difficulty. (We're in our sixties)
Deniz is a mine of information which we found invaluable. Because of him we were able to make the most of our stay and explore the many sights both historic and modern. Nothing seems to be too much for him.
Our accommodation was clean and tidy with all necessary amenities - the jacuzzi bath was a real boon after lengthy explorations.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very nice B&B 150 metrs from the Blue Mosque and others old city sites. Quiet neighborhood, very clean huge room with antique forniture and modern facilities (satellite TV, AC, safe, jacuzzi). No view but excellent breakfast. Incredibly helpful and nice staff. Thanks, you made us fell at home!

Stayed here for 2 nights, and was pleasantly blown away by how spacious and nicely furnished our room was - from the comfy four-poster bed, the spacious room and bathroom, to the thoughtful furnishing. Being a small hotel (only 4 rooms I think), it has a nice homely feel.

The staff were extremely warm and helpful. From the moment we checked in, Deniz, the manager, offered free n no-strings-attached travel advice for our travel plans in turkey. His advice proved Really useful later on. When my FedEx parcel arrived late, he did not hesitate to offer to receive it on my behalf and arrange for it to be sent to me at my next destination.

Overall, a good find and definitely good value in expensive-Istanbul.

We stayed here in April 2011 during spring break. It is more of what we would call a B&B. They have 4 suites and included breakfast. Breakfast is nothing exceptional, but certainly enough to fill up on. The cook/cleaning lady even made us crapes when we requested something different. We were able to eat as early or as late as we needed, which was nice.

All the rooms are accurately portrayed on their website, so look there for pics.

The location is excellent! Easy walking distance from "attractions."

My husband and I were in the Topkapi Suite (largest) and our 13 year old daughters were in the smallest suite which was just next to us (can't remember the name). Our room was large, beautiful and very clean. The furniture is all antique. Our daughters' room was also very nice but could benefit from some repairs (loose or missing wood paneling in a couple of places).

Both rooms had jacuzzi tubs; ours was pretty large!

Service by all staff members was exceptional and the "courtyard" of the B&B was beautiful and very unique.

Also, the website does state the beds are actually two beds put together, so be aware of that. And there are cats howling all night long! (I would think this would be the case wherever you stay, though.)

Loved the hotel and the staff. Everyone was so helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was lovely. Everything was very close to the hotel. However, the hotel staff and manager were just wonderful. I plan to visit Turkey again and this is the only hotel I will stay at when I go back.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the large sofa bed :)
