This is definitely a great place to stay when visiting Istanbul on a citytrip! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We stayed here for 3 nights in the ground floor double room, which has no view but is easily accessible - almost no stairs (check the hotels website for pictures) which is nice after a long day walking around Istanbul. The rooms are quite, airco is available, matresses are hard (up to you whether you like this or not), safe available.

We booked the airportshuttle service, which was impeccable. Prior to our visit we contacted the hotel by email for a confirmation of our reservation and the airport shuttle and got quick and correct answers everytime. The room was very neat and was kept neat during our stay, toiletries are available. Only minor remark: if you need a hairdryer, bring your own. The one in our room overheated in about 30 seconds which is not so handy.

Breakfast buffet is served on the rooftop terrace, with a great view over the Bosphorus. Beware that there is no elevator so you'll have to climb the stairs to get there. Nice breakfast; coffee, tea and eggs were freshly made upon request.

The staff let us use the left-over TL to pay the hotel bill and pay the rest with the creditcard, so we were not stuck with some TL returning home, which was great and an example of the service this hotel gives.

Since I only had two days in Istanbul ( arrived at 6 am and left two days later at 4 am) I wanted a central location, comfort and airport transportation. The Osmanhan was perfect. When I arrived expecting to have to drop off my luggage and then find some caffeine, they sent me up to the lovely rooftop terrace even though breakfast hadn't officially started and served me tea and fresh fruit, apologizing because they hadn't picked up the pastries yet. By the time I had finished, my small but comfortable room was ready. The rooftop terrace was also open at night, with views up the hill to Aya Sofya and the Blue Mosque and down to the water. Wifi was a little unstable on the terrace but fine in my room. The neighborhood has small hotels, restaurants and shops and is reasonably active so that it felt very safe even after dark. The staff speak good English and seemed genuinely friendly. I had the hotel arrange for me to be picked up at the airport which was not cheap but totally stress-free. They also called a taxi for me when I left, told me how much it should be and again had no problems.

Room Tip: It's a small hotel so there are not a lot of rooms, but a higher floor will likely be quieter i...

We had an excellent 7 day stay at this quaint hotel. With only a few rooms, excellent service (including a lovely breakfast daily), we felt right at home, rather than tourists staying in a hotel. I've never had such excellent service from a personnel standpoint. The rooms were very clean and had modern bathrooms. You don't spend much time in your room, but it was nice coming home to a nicely kept room. Anything we needed, was provided to us. Above all, the staff was friendly, well-versed in things to do (both locally & touristy), and accommodating.

We had breakfast every morning on the rooftop of the hotel, which had stunning views of the Bosphorus Sea. Was a great way to start each day.

The location of the hotel is also its biggest sell. Less than a 10 minute walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and about a 15-20 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar. Was also only short tram rides away form other must-see sites, such as Taksim Square, Galata Tower, Spice Market, Topkapi Palace and Dolmabache Palace. The energy in Sultanahmet where the hotel was located was palpable, especially at night.

All in all, couldn't have asked for a better stay. Will only stay here when I return to Istanbul.

Room Tip: Make friends with Faith to get local restaurant recommendations.

We arrived very early and they were most helpful. Took our bags in, gave us a free breakfast and a map for us to go exploring. Great advice on where to eat and arranged our transport to and from Airport as well as a boat trip on the Bosphorus for us. Excellent location and good breakfast with a view from rooftop breakfast room. Made our stay most enjoyable.

This establishment has modern hotel rooms and apartments in the heart of the tourist district. Yet it was quiet at night. There is a great breakfast on a rooftop terrace with a view of the ships crossing the Sea of Marmara.

The hotel staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Fatih, one of the young men at the desk, spoke excellent English and provided cultural tips which were invaluable. Definitely, this is a place to return to on another trip to Istanbul!

Room Tip: We stayed in the apartment just around the corner from the hotel proper. It was lovely and quiet.

Can't say enough good things about this little boutique hotel which is a short walk from many attractions. In our travels, we have never come across such friendly and genuine staff who are always anxious to help and treat you like family. In particular, Fatih the hotel manager and Hamit the owner were amazing. They would go out of their way to assist you and provide you with whatever information you need. All other staff were outstanding as well.

Breakfast was simple but more than adequate. Staff were happy to make eggs, steep tea or make coffee the way you like it. View from the breakfast room and roof terrace is increadible. After a long day, we often made tea and took it to the roof to relax and enjoy the view. Room are clean and reasonably sized for a couple.

All in all a great place to stay while visiting Istanbul.

Room Tip: Rooms on the third and fourth floor are quieter, but remember there are no elevators

Osmanhan Hotel is a charming small hotel located in the middle of Istanbul's Sultanahmet district and is a only short walk away from Topkapi Palace, Haghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Even better it is in a quieter side street a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the many restaurants and cafés for which Sultanahmet is famous.

The rooms are bright and cheerful and the whole building is spotlessly clean.
An ample buffet breakfast is served at the top of the building from where you can enjoy the start of each day with magnificent views over the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara.

But what makes the Osmanhan so very special is the people who work there. We stayed for 5 nights and everybody was most helpful, charming and friendly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. When the time came to leave we were sad to have to say goodbye but we look forward to returning very soon.
