We can't say enough about this hotel. Don't be put off by the hotel not having an elevator. They help you with your bags (even at 3 am) up and down the stairs. It is in a wonderful location. The breakfast is good and served on a roof top area with a beautiful view of the Bosphorous. The hotel does not have a bar, but they showed us where a little store was and we bought drinks and had them in the late afternoon on the roof top. They supplied glasses and even brought us a fruit plate! Unfortunately we had to leave for the airport at 3 am in the morning. They were there to see us off and made us a "to go" breakfast to take with us. The hotel is close to the major sights. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has difficulty in walking up stairs, because you need to go up and down the stairs to your room and the breakfast area. Besides that- it is a gem.

This hotel has very comfortable, though not large rooms but this is overshadowed by your proximity to the main tourist sites. You are about 50 m from a restaurant strip and 5 mins walk from the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, topkapi palace and basilica cistern. Don't miss any of these.
From here much of central Istanbul is a walk or easy tram ride away. Breakfast was great on the terrace overlooking the Bosphorous and when I went up to set and see the sunset, the night duty manager even came up brought me Turkish coffee and sat down for a chat. You can't beat that Thank you

While we stayed at Osmanhan Hotel, the owner and staff always cared of us. They were always kind and smiling. Every morning they started with ‘Good morning. How are you?’, sent us to sight-seeing with ‘Have a good day. Enjoy your sight-seeing,’ and welcomed us with ‘Welcome back’ in the evening. We felt their kindness well. When we wanted to buy somethings in a supermarket, a boy working at the hotel took us to one in Sultanahmet. If he hadn't taken us there, we would be lost. We really appreciate him.It made us happy. And, of course, the clean rooms and the breakfast at the roof top viewing the sea are also noteworthy. We had a wonderful time at Osmanhan Hotel.

As we had read on Tripadvisor’s web site, Osmanhan Hotel was very close to main sight-seeing places and we can get to each place in 3-5 minutes. Whenever we wanted, we could go back to our room from Topkapi Palace, Hagiasofia, Blue Mosque and other places. So we spent our time very relaxed at this hotel as if we were at home during our 4-day staying in Istanbul.

Every corner of this hotel was clean. The staff was all well-trained and polite. We were also satisfied with the room, which was not so large, but well- furnished and convenient.

And, especially, we loved the terrace at which they were giving breakfast in buffet-style. The terrace is overlooking the sea and you can see Asian side adn Princes’ islands (and even the opposite side of Marmara Sea in a fine day.

We give Osmanhan Hotel full marks!

From the welcome on our arrival to the solicitous help on our pre-dawn departure, we enjoyed everything about this intimate hotel. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable; the service was friendly and professional; the excellent breakfast on the roof-top terrace was a stand-out. It's a short easy walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofiya, Hippodrome, and all the other major sites in this amazing city. The manager was most helpful, with maps and restaurant recommendations. He even printed our boarding passes for us! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: There was some noise from the hostel across the street - don't know if other rooms would have be...

Great hotel in Sultanahmet near the Ayasofia & Blue Mosque. It's in a quiet part of the old town with little city traffic, but right in the centre of town - perfect location. It is a small hotel, which makes it more intimate. And the view from the rooftop where you have breakfast is sensational as it looks over the Bosphorus. What I loved most about the hotel was the staff. They really tried to help to make our stay perfect. If they can do something for you, they will try their hardest to do so. For example, we were arriving before checkin at 9am, and instead of asking us to leave our bags and sit in a cafe they got the cleaner to do our room first so we could enter the room almost straight away - brilliant! We also needed to do some laundry so one of the staff personally took us to the laundry, which was a quick 3 blocks away - brilliant! We needed a taxi to the airport and the manager gave such personal attention to get a taxi for us despite the city being closed for a cycling race that morning - brilliant! I cannot emphasize enough how helpful the staff were. The breakfast was more then ample (with brilliant views). The rooms were always immaculately cleaned. Being a gay couple we were worried about whether the hotel would be OK with us sharing a double bed, but there was not a problem at all. I highly recommend this hotel and it is now our hotel of choice in Istanbul.

Room Tip: The only ground floor room is cheaper, but guests sensitive to noise might find pedestrian chatter a...

We stayed in a deluxe double room for 4 nights. Booked by email and paid at checkout. Be aware that even though the quote is in euro the currency for Turkey is Turkish lira and you also require a visa (available on line) as Turkey is not part of the European union. However, you can pay for the accommodation in euro.
Location: Hard for the taxi driver to find. It is on the corner opposite the Bauhaus hostel and next door to the upmarket Big Apple hostel. One small street away from a street full of restaurants, a short walk away from St Sophia and the Blue Mosque, the tram which goes over the bridge, and many many shops. The Turkish delight shops on the main street with the tram stop provided the best - and freshest products.
The hotel is quite small with two rooms on each floor and the breakfast room and rooftop all reached via a circular staircase. There is no elevator but suitcases are taken up and down by staff. Every area of the hotel is exceptionally clean.
The room: smallish with a single cupboard. Not much storage area. The safe is in the cupboard but at floor level so hard to access. Lots of windows that provide good light and interesting to look out at surrounding area and activity. Bed and bedlinen/cover/pillows were excellent quality - much better than five star resorts where we have stayed. At night the outside noise, especially from the hostel Bauhaus across the street, can be noisy. We found it better to shut the windows and turn on the airconditioning and this blocked out any noise.
Breakfast: A small selection with staff hovering to ensure that dishes were replenished as guests took items. Turkish coffee is available - all you have to do it ask. There are tables inside and outside. The view is good and the area faces the sea.
Rooftop: next level up from the breakfast area. No cover. It looks out to the sea. Guests can take drinks (including wine bought from local stores) and snacks/food up here. It's a great view and we went here every afternoon after our long walks.
