The hotel room was nicely done, but a bit too trendy while sacrificing the functional element (the glass shower door did nothing to stop the water from getting all over). The service was pleasant but ineffective (our room service orders were never right). Walking about from the hotel is not for the faint of heart, one of the exits was super steep, and since the hotel is right next to a school, the sounds of children running about and being boisterous were prevalent.
I can understand why the hotel has good reviews, but it is definitely not for those travelers who are particular.

We recently stayed here for one night and we had a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty by hotel staff member Asley. She was one of the best, most charming staff we have ever encountered. Friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This boutique hotel has a modern yet very warm decor with fascinating art in the lobby.
Our room was spacious and well appointed with a fabulous bathroom including a rain shower and lustrous soaking tub,
The rooftop restaurant had a wonderful view and served a delicious buffet breakfast.

The room was very large and the bathroom was extremely chique and modern. There is a large bathtub and a shower cabin in the bathroom. It was the best and the most comfortable hotel room I have ever stayed in. However, the prices of the rooftop restaurant is way too high compared to what they offer for dinner. The meals were over-priced and lacked a satisfactory presentation and taste. It felt as if they were trying to take advantage of the few tourists who choose to dine there because they did not know the city well. I would not suggest you to go there for dinner, you can find many other better priced and more satisfactory restaurants in the area which provide the same pretty view of Istanbul. As for the hotel and the rooms, I do not have a single complaint. I loved it. The decoration, the amenities, the cleanness of the whole place, the comfort of the beds and the overall luxury in the room was what I loved about this hotel.

This is a beautifully refurbished monastery, very large rooms (enough room for a few bowling lanes), equally large bathrooms, high ceilings, and well crafted modern furnishing. We wanted to move in to our suite. Breakfast was served on the top floor semi-open terrace with views towards the Bosphorus. The neighbourhood is quiet, and home to some great rooftop bars and restaurants.

It has a slightly off centre location that might worry the less adventurous (took our cab driver a while to find it); but once you're heading in the right direction, the main drag that is Istiklal Caddesi is a 5 minute walk away (fairly steep). A short walk downhill you'll find the tram system that connects you to Sultanahmet across the horn within minutes.

Generally the concierge and service was good and not overbearing. While we there, all but one of the rooms were occupied, but it felt like we were two of only a handful of guests and never needed to wait behind anyone for a breakfast table or a taxi.

Just one element let the experience down; and we'd suggest you think twice about the tours they promote - we wouldn't normally go with hotel promoted tours/products, but our earlier experience in Urgup was so good, we went for it. We went on the guided walking tour, spice markets, inclusive of a trip on the public ferry, which we could have easily done ourselves for a 5% of their price. The guide's input was minimal, and he disappeared five minutes after boarding the ferry.  Thankfully we were able to cancel the other tours we'd booked, but the disingenuous aspect was disappointing and a real contrast to our other experiences in Turkey - at the very least Tomtom should vett any other groups it intends to work with or promote.

Would stay here again.

We stayed in the least room and were very pleased both with the room and the overall attentiveness and sevice. The breakfast area's view is worth the visit. Close to shopping and restaurants but a pretty steep walk to get there, chance to do your cardio if you push it. Quiet street because of the proximity to the Italian Embassy

After looking at a myriad of hotel options, my wife and I stayed at Tomtom Suites for our honeymoon. The stay was perfect in every respect. The check in staff and process was excellent - within seconds of our transport pulling up to the hotel, we were in our room. The premier suite was excellent, the highlight being the luxurious bathroom which was opulent and fitted with great accessories, which my wife loved! The bed and other facilities were excellent. It was fantastic waking up every morning to the lovely view from the room and then go upstairs for the breakfast. We typically came back to the hotel in the late afternoon which was an oasis to escape the hectic streets of Istanbul. As an independent traveller, I did not need to call on the staff for much assistance, but when I needed something, they offered very good advice and recommended places to go with a local flavour.

As well as the roof terrace, I loved the room with the library which featured a good display of books on the region. The free use of iPads on the roof terrace was a nice touch.

I will definitely come back!

This small hotel is extremely charming. Very well located, although most taxis do not know it and do not know how to reach it ( we advise you to always carry a map and the hotels phone number). The breakfast is delicious, great selection of turkish cheeses! Staff is nice and helpful. This hotel is clearly a much better choice than large five star chain hotels in istanbul ( having experienced the swissotel).
